Well I suppose it depends on the size CV, Mine is the CV-Prefab Tier 2 going to make a few small adjustments to it and it will do for now
Another lovely day on the Aqua moon, harvesting Sathium flying casually and watching the planets rise in batch in the distance.
That SV is the tier 1 prefab. nice lil boat. I had one until I made an error is calculating my safe distance from an Epsilon Fortress base. sighs. It has a nice sleek look, and is easy to mod.
The tier 1 SV can be found in the default blueprint library and among other features is very well ballaned and fine in terms of maneuverability.
It's also pretty. I found that making a factory, blueprint ship is an excellent way to learn the best way to make one of my own. I now have self made an HV and an SV that I dearly love. Both designs are awesome, and I will go out sometimes in my HV and ski jump mountains just for fun. I will also claim that my SV design is utterly hideous. It is as hideous as it it practical. I added wings to it in a futile effort to tart it up a bit. Now it looks like an old flying boot with wings.
I believe much the same can be said of my three SVs and 1 HV. Flying bricks. But the HV at least gets the job done, as it completely wiped out the Epsilon Spaceport..... (maybe TOO well, since there was 1 loot container left )
I took a different route, I found an old pre-alpha blueprint and updated it manually, block-by-block. I learned quite a bit updating an old blueprint that way. The Arrowheads in my sig were the result.
As others here, we also went to Skillon. Our primary destination was Aitis so it was just a quick stop. It was pretty. Barren, but pretty. Met some local wildlife. And some drones and transports too. Which we of course shot down. At Aitis, building a landing pad for our CV. Spectacular colours and atmospehere. My friend is testing a new SV he got from Steam Workshop. We got our Hydrogen production up and running. And went hunting Freighters. It was a jackpot - tons of epic weapons (no shotgun but otherwise pretty much all), some Zascosium etc. Those "cans" were filled with containers... we had to retrofit our fighters with outside containers (which he had looted) to fit all of the stuff Aitis is beautiful - but inhospitable. Lots of aggressive wildlife and limited visibility and light. Next up, we have to do some serious mining - Erestrum and Sathium mainly. Then we probably return to Akua. Maybe drop by at Masperon for some Zascosium. Aitis is nice - but not really optimal for building, because of the reasons above. We also need crapload of iron for this to get done: Heavy Mining Barge Ilmarinen, work continues. Details are getting there and soon I can start working the insides and texturing & painting.
That's my Dulux Mobile Cargo unit... Docking pads and lights on all sides for highly visible docking whether you're in space or on a planet. http://imgur.com/a/AtShE
Question: Why are all the ore deposits on Oscutune so small? I'll have to leave the planet just to get a stack of Silicon. And here's another thing... I mised out all the Iron on Akua so that there was less than 10% remaining...ore marker disappears. No Iron asteroids!
I thought it would be something like that. Planning to do something similar. Looking good, thanks for the pics!
Reworked the Raumkreuzer, made the Hangar bay much bigger and added some more thrusters. Enlarged Hangar bay: I only hope it didn't ruin the overall shape. Maybe i'll sleep one night over it and take a look tomorrow, before i work on the interiors.
You could always blueprint it as a different ship. I have a copy of the original blueprint if you need it.
Yeah, that's what i'm thinking about. I'll better release it as a variant ship class, so no one has a reason to be mad.
