just looking NASA online conference about planetary system discovery - full of Earth like exoplanets! EMPYRION STYLE SYSTEM Go Trappist-1 Go!
And it is a mere 40 light years away! That's like, right next door. We could have ships there in about 800,000 years. Assuming we leave now.
If you're hoping that FTL drives or matter-antimatter rockets (with tons of antimatter) are out there in someone's secret lab, I think you're going to be very disappointed. A direct fusion drive rocket with an exhaust velocity of 200 km/s and a propellant mass fraction of 0.6-0.7 would take only about 60000 years to get there .
Everyone knows the warp drives are hidden in area 51. Down the hall and second left from the extraterrestrial dissection lab!
If I had to choose between mankind reaching Trappist-1, finding out habitable planets there during my lifetime and having a wonderful final version of Empyrion ready in a week... I'd say... Trappist. Sorry, I do love EGS but the future of mankind is somewhat more important. I guess.
Hey China, Trump said you guys don't have what it takes to put a man on Mars!! #KickStartNewSpaceRace
