Heavy Gravity from overlapping GGs can also make it suck hard to get up Stairs. I also dunno if such things can also still bug out proper function of the Elevator Block's effect. (I remember at least in the past Gravity Shenanigans could bug out the proper placement of the 'Elevator Effect' in relation to the Elevator Block itself's positioning.) Agreed. There's seriously no good use or practical function for large Rooms in a CV Build... unless ya wanna stick one just inside your Outer Hull & paint a Bullseye on its Outer Wall to tell Enemy SVs where to blow a hole in the Hull to fly into this Large Room like a flying Tick & then eat the CV from the inside while using the CV's own Hull against it. (Yes I know this can't feasibly work, now, but surely the Devs will find a way to Re-Implement Ship Collisions in a way that'll work someday... imho best not to get comfy with taking advantage of the temporary then struggle to adapt to the future later.) Meh, I never use non-Grow Lights anymore, i'm waiting for them to quit being FPS Butchers. I try to abuse Light Textures instead. (Or my Shoulder Light. ) Also totally agreed, there's a big market out there & no one single peep or group of peeps can Service all... this is why it's a good thing there's lots of good Builders out there of many good Styles for more Variety of Creations for the Market. It's impossible for one single style/building style to work for EVERYONE. I hope 6.0 will also bless us with additional Block Shapes.
What I'd really like at the moment is a corner piece that will transition from Corner Long A/B/C to Ramp Top/Bottom when they're at interfacing angles. I can't get the angles to match up properly. Think I've found a somewhat clunky solution after half a dozen experiments.
Here is the ship I used, I blew out the top glass, added the miniguns, and upgraded the steel plate. I called it a "Gronk" because I think it looks like the Star Wars power droids. Word of warning, it gets slow when you upgrade the armor.
Well the cylon raider is turning out ok but the wings are proving to be every bit the nightmare I thought they'd be. Also, that moment when you realize you've been working on the test vehicle for the past 30 minutes and not the production model.... Redid all that work and then flipped it over on it's back like a turtle so I can work on the underside. Ninja edit: I've largely finished cleaning up the exterior. There's still a little more deco work left to do and texture/paint. I've started cleaning up the interior. It's going to be a big job. Edit x2: I finished cleaning up the interior. Dropped the production time from 14 hours down to 7.
So this is the mega (in my builds at least) CV I'm working on at the moment. It's a lot larger than my usual CV I tinker about with, which means I have no idea what to do with all the extra internal space! I think the outside is looking good, but I just feel that the front could look better.
Built the one of the smallest CV's I have ever done three variations so far....this one doesn't even have the warp drive mounted Here is the warp drive mounted and a belly hook for a small HV
I kinda accidentally shot down one of my neighbors. On our server Akua is a PVE zone, and not supposed to allow PVP. So I was quite surprised when my HV suddenly started spewing missiles. Nothing red was on radar, and, well, not sposed to be PVP. Soon after a player accused someone of shooting out his fuel tank. I had to fess up. After a light hearted exchange I took him the gear he needed to get home. I'm not sure if this was a bug, I will let the admin make that call. It was pretty amusing. That's me, making friends all over the galaxy!
Hello everyone . I binge watched youtuber Tango Tek . His most recent season of Empyrion and I'm officially hooked. Was a dies hard 7DTD guy but looks like I may have jumped ship . Had one game session so far and it lasted 10 hours. This rocks. I just woke and I am already fighting myself not to log back in yet. As for what I did today. It has yet to be seen but I'd say it is safe to say it will have everything to do with Empyrion . Thx for a game this old man can get into.
Today I have been cleaning up my vessel blueprints - tidied up everything, re-designed few of the oldest ones, added bunch of stuff and removed stuff, organized Control Panels and took a boatload of new pictures. Phew, that was lot of work and time consuming - and I don't even have that many blueprints. My Steam workshop https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198031130074/myworkshopfiles/?appid=383120 Much of it has to do with me wanting to have all the old stuff out of the way, updated and ready, until I reveal my next vessel (alongside couple of smaller ones). Hopefully next week. Quite exited about it. As can be seen from the pic, its slightly larger than anything else I've built so far Here it is, spawned into a survival game. Roughly 188 000 iron and lots of sathium - but most annoying work was in getting the 81 growing plots There will be some field testing, to find out possible flaws and problems. Also Control Panel needs to be sorted out, not looking forwards to that I still really want to do it properly too.
While I am not trying to be in any way insulting , some of you may share the feeling I get of being out of place in some of the post modern bases in this game. So I spent some time this morning building a base with a nice homey feeling to it, you may even term it country. Yes boys I made a doublewide.......Y'all come on inside and stay for a while
Wow now Empyrion has a tailer park. lol This so epic on many levels. All you need now is to build a pick up truck hv to put in front of it.
http://imgur.com/a/CVocm I've been playing for 7 months and never ever more than ONCE used the worklights.... Well during this project I'm working on I hauled out the crap tonne of worklights I built for "just in case of power failure" scenario... and it turns out they're very useful for working the dark. Yes I know this is a NO **** SHERLOCKE moment.
Back in the day when the map wasn't working so hot, I used them as guides so I could safely find my way from base to water generator to mine and back again. Stand on hill, look for light, head towards light, look for next light...
1. Here is every who-gives-a-crap angle from my "Top-Secret" Attack-SV Hangar Bay. http://imgur.com/a/4FNr7 Unfortunately, I have no idea how I should paint it so... in the end its pretty ugly. Took 2 hours man 2. I wish the Flattening tool worked better....it makes a lot of steep notches in the ground and it always turns out really uneven and messed up. 3. Does anyone know how I can get this stupid square to texture in the same direction as the others?
