Here is my new 6.0.2 survival SV. In any other game something like this would not be fun to fly but in Empyrion I' am enjoying it. Almost like well armed tactical Van .lol
Conceled ish, yeah. The rooms are so small that a whole row of grates across the whole floor connecting the neighboring rooms took up a third of the floor and looked awkward, made it feel like the rooms weren't very seperate since there was a huge trench under them.
For the most part I do the same, just build and see what happens. My latest build I wanted to be a luxury liner CV, but it's turned into a deep space haulage type thing.
Looking good and practical! I might as well share my experimental 6.0 cretion too then. This is an HV called 'Wombat'- designed for survival. Unarmoured and lightly armed, unlockable at lvl 5. Has everything you need to survive. Spacious on the inside, can carry your friends. Access from the roof as well as in the back. Ventilated, of course. Drone can be launched from the rear door (not as useful as with SV's but still). Good for hunting ( ) , clearing down forests, scouting, civilian POI raiding and being a base-away-from-home. Not for combat - but can survive thru some combat damage because of the double generator & rcs on both sides of the vessel. Inside has been designed so that you can remove all the equipment without compromising the ventilation - and replace them with a setup that suits your personal preferences. Heat is not an issue in the inside.
Nice work, both 0f you. I started to bring my most-used vessel in each class up to v6 then realized that it would be fun to design new ones. My old 5.xx craft all spawn and work in 6 so I'll be using them in Survival while I work up the new ones.
That looks like great fun! It must take some time for the team to learn to coordinate their activities. A fortress can be a handful. I only play SP so, pre v6, I generally just leveled them with long range artillery fire and then picked up any remaining pieces. Now that body armor is available I'll give undermining them another try.
I've been Drone watching. Yeah, watching - not hunting. As you might or might not know, drones are bit messed up in experimental 6.0 at the moment. They just wander around aimlessly - completely ignoring you. They seem so lost and without a purpose that I almost feel sorry for them. Almost.
The Akua drones in my first 6.0 game just hovered unless I placed myself directly in their line of fire. No complaints, it was early game and the parts were welcome. I'm confident that they will be themselves again shortly.
Maybe they should keep that behavior - oh, fix them, but once you destroy an enemy communication facility drones outside a certain range of a base get "disconnected" and wander aimlessly until back in range of a base. Anyway, I'm currently stumped trying to diagnose a failure to oxygenate a Ningues POI I captured for my first base (escape pod dropped me off I the doorstep).
I'm a single player myself but these guys have a lot of fun on their server and I usually post some of their videos just incase other gamers are looking for a server to play on. They have a really good community and they don't have many limits at all. It's kind of a free for all on that server but it's fun
Haven't made a post in a while, I guess partly because I was a tad busy and wanted to take a short break. Anways. Its nearing halfway done and will probably work on it some more later today when I've gotten some rest.
Rados oxygen depot. I did figure out my issue. I had built a "glassed in" area in one of the wings. Technically there was a window block, airtight, blocking the doorway from where oxygen should have been coming in. Didn't matter the window was at 90 degrees to the hall and over to one side. Ah well, gotta think about oxygen as voxels too.
Oh yeah, those wall and window blocks are quite deceiving. I was puzzled by the very same issue when building my latest CV - took me a while to figure out. It was one wide corridor with window in the inside, air wasn't flowing in.
