That is very nice looking exterior hull. Sometimes before I start all over again, I take a break from building my ship and come back later to see how I feel about it. You'll be surprised at what your mind comes up with once you taken a little time out.
I think its looking pretty sweet! I have had a hard time building lately. I can't get the idea that a ship should be no larger than class 4 out of my head.
@banksman45 yup! that's actually what I did before I came back and decided to revise that hull. I now have that large one and a somewhat medium sized CV as my two projects, I'm kinda back and forth.
You've already done that couple of times - and quite successfully I might add. Feel free to go crazy without limitations and see where that takes you
Well that's why I play single player more creative freedom but there are some servers admins that allow more than class 4s on their servers. So if you don't want your creativity limited there are places that allow for that. I know the guy on the Wolves server talked about loading his server with tons ram just so people on his server can build what they want.
Man, if you could only see what I have been working on for the past month and a half. Its still class 4, but in order to finish it its gonna have to go to class 5.
Frigidman calculated actual class of my heavy miner Ilmarinen - it's 27 Five sounds good, maybe I should try that someday...
I've added the first official HV of BGI into the collection under the name of Goliath and two variants! MK-1 - Light armor MK-2 - Heavy armor
It really is an awkward chicken-an-egg problem they've introduced. As a workaround, the trader stations (either in orbit or on the surface) may have a corn plant, which would get you started. Silly that a toilet is harder to make than a warp drive, though.
I meant to ask - how does magnets help keep the air in - care to elaborate? That really highlights how different kinds of problems there are in SP than there are in MP. In SP I sometimes have to look for excuses to go to places. After the early game survival, I need somekind of reasons to go to places. I think its gotten better - we have the scenarios and there are more important stuff to get from POI's -> more reasons to go on and explore stuff. But in MP, you have no POI's. Which brings me to my question - what do you do in MP then? Honest question - not trying to be mean or anything.
Are you asking how magnets work? They're magnets man! They just do! Been working on my Spaceport again after taking a little break from the game. Spoiler I extended the front entrances so they have a second set of doors and short hallway now. I wanted to use the sliding glass doors and I guess those aren't airtight so it had to be rectified. Easy enough change. Anyways, here's what you see when first come inside. There's a helpdesk with an employee elevator leading to one of the small control towers. Ticket counters are on either side. And looking back at the front entrance One of the waiting areas for people waiting on an outgoing flight. Corridor that connects the outer ring to the main building. New arrivals stop in here to collect their baggage. Lounge area above the new arrival terminal where you can get food and relax. This area is very much a work in progress still. I still need to add lights and maybe add a few decorative items around the counters. It's a shame there's no bar stools or glass counters with goods being displayed, etc. Need some beer taps too.
What I like about MP is the sense of community, but also, it is a lot harder. Not because of PVP, but just because there is always competition for resources. Ithas always been so. Any time you find yourself newly wiped on a MP server the first thing you do is run around to the Residential complex and abandon mine, any of the easy places, and loot them bare. My goal is generally to get to a point where I have my big CV, HV and SV (all made by me), and can go out exploring. Same as SP.
