Been messing with Reibart's model importer and wanted to see just how big I could go before my PC melted.... had to stop at 1.5KM. Flyable but totally unusable, but fun to see in game. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=920555717
This thing kinda got away from us a bit. A lot bigger than we intended. Having trouble finding ways to fill the space.
Quick question: when y'all are building your CVs that aren't necessarily for in-game use but are more for fun--I'm talking about the recreations of ships from movies and video games and stuff, you know, the big capital vessels that are too big to be practical for survival or PVP--what kind of blocks do you use? I'm working on a big cruiser-type CV right now that would need heavy armor for slugging it out with other CVs, but that stuff weighs so bloody much... What are your thoughts? Normal steel blocks on your Star Destroyers or combat steel?
I depends on how hardcore RP you want to go - is the ship a heavy combat vessel, light combat, research civilian? this should inform your choice of armour obviously builds for fum can use anything you want, but don't forget there's always good old replaceblocks
20'000 Miles OVER the sea Just my interpretation of the Nautilus. A slim CV for level 10 - but all in. And place for 2 small SV and 2 small HV at once. Plus a bigger SV on top http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=921910628
My work in progress: a Hammerhead cruiser from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. I've pretty much finished laying down the hull (not easy with a ship 315m long with gnarly curves and slopes) and am going to get cracking on the interior.
This is a small capital vessel I made yesterday, my first cv attempt with triangle blocks, its small and agile and still has warp core, grav gen and adv constructor. The idea was to have small sleek racey looking personal vessel. Non combatant but a combat version is in the pipeline. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=923735139 I released sv versions of this design also, the mkII of which has weapons belended into the hull in diamond slots, looks awesome.

RAIDO CORPORATION EXODUS Under 7K iron requirement - Exodus is relatively cheap, but yet still super versatile CV to get yourself started on the planet exploration. And why not for a more experienced space traveller too! Spacious hangar space, very good visibility, good amount of various devices and plenty of defensive firepower to keep the drones at bay - and as a bonus, space for up to 32 growing plots! NOTE: Experimental 6 only. Steam Workshop http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=926414080
It is already on the workshop just search "NovaCore" but after v6 is released I will update it for O2 and use the new blocks where I can.
FYI, I've updated my CVs with the more recent EXP additions, such as pressurization, armor lockers and repair bays. In my sig or my workshop: http://steamcommunity.com/id/andargor/myworkshopfiles/?appid=383120
Cool, but the devs said that updating and adding new blueprints while 6.0 is still in EXP phase is not a smart move... I hope You won't have to redo everything ahain when it comes out of EXP...
Yeah, I'm not smart But since the EXP is now a Release Candidate, and I had some time, I thought I might as well update my stuff.
