Last night I made final preparations to venture forth into the great expanse, leaving my nice safe base on Akua (before it all wipes). An unknown map leaves me a bit timid about heading out. So I have 1200 pentaxid (I hope that's enough) and a small and agile CV loaded to thee gunnels with stuff.
Terve! I don't have such problems in my hovercraft ... I haven't been keeping track, but during my whole Empyrion gameplay ever, total pentaxid that I have collected is nowhere near that amount.
I think I'm almost finished on my SP CV. It's got all of the essentials and the resource cost isn't too heavy. I still hate getting the front right, I can never make it look that good! It can carry both an SV and HV in the hanger and nothing on the inside can harm you, unless you step onto the clearly marked areas!
I got a lot done on my Spaceport today. Just need to finish up one last section and then add lights and sensors and it will be done. Edit: Looks like it's just lights left and maybe a little deco work here and there if I think of anything else to add.
Don't feel bad, I decided to take over a small POI as a base. I even shoehorned my starter SV into the POI's hangar. Success! Imagine my surprise when I found that there wasn't sufficient clearance to undock the SV.
@banksman45 Nice looking HV! Good use of the new cockpit. I've been busy building a CV for the Fractalite's challenge today. Last several hours has been texturing & painting. I decided that in addition to painting the whole thing - it was a good idea to texture the whole thing. Meaning that changing the combat steel texture to something else. Yeah. Almost half done - on the outside. NOTHING is done in the inside yet so I still have my work cut out for me.
My FOV is around 75 I think. Its just the shape of the ship and angle of the shot that makes it look like it does.
I am going to do the samething. I am going to arm my HV with a Rocket turret and take over a POI. until I'm ready to build a base. I really hope they fix the bug that keeps us from digging around POIs because as right now you can't dig anywhere near any POI .
The no digging part is sad. I found it after deciding to take a POI the old fashioned way by undermining. Then I found that I can't put my core in the thing after taking it with the help of an HV. Hoping it's just a corrupted save because the POI, even when salvaged to the ground, regenerates completely every fifteen minutes.
It's done. Or as done as I'm going to make it for now. I tried uploading a copy while I was still working on it and when I went to update it it wouldn't let me. Not sure what was going on there so I'm holding off publishing it for now.
@banksman45 @binhthuy71 Its due to the regeneration - no building (putting down your own core) or digging around it. Not a bug, working as intended. It's mainly a MP feature but its activated on SP currently too - but for testing purposes only. Also, it can be edited in YAML (for each base). But I wouldn't worry about it - it's not gonna stay in SP, atleast not as a feature thats default as ON for each base.
