I wished we had the ability to remotely access our control panels from a distance because I would arm this with a lot of explosive blocks and land it near one of the Enemy POIs. LOL OR I could put some of the explosive blocks on the outside and land it near the POI let the base shoot the ship until it hits one of the Explosive blocks. hmmmm Land this ship on top of a POI then BOOM. lol That is a really cool design.
OH IT DOES???? I forgot all about the ship registry!!! hmmm I might try this because it would be pretty epic to land ships carrying explosive blocks next to the POI and then blow up the POI that way.
Yep. Miniscule. Dunno what's wrong with me - been building just tiny ships lately... Like the one I just finished - 'UMS'. Miniature sized mining CV with drill turrets, docking space for miner HV and dockable turret HV for planetside turret drilling. Can warp. Sorry, no pics yet. ... and no, it can't go down in the bottom of the mining pit. So you Rucky still have much smaller than me .. ...
Tiny is good. More practical and easier to work on and you actually stand a chance of finishing them before the next millennium rolls around.
I've been playing with this aimanager command and it's pretty useful for testing weapons or just having some fun with the AI ships. You can spawn in multiple Freighters or PV ships and they will go after you or your ship. I think I had too much fun. lol
I'm home!!! I'm playing a Tutorial Game trying to get back into things & Creative Mode Building stuff again. ^_^
Ever work on something, then figure out a different way to do it that saves a massive amount of space, then have no idea of what to do with the extra space? Maybe I should move the crew quarters out of the Condor's "neck" and put them over hydroponics. How I did it, the walkway blocks over the grow lights are the only ones right-side up. I whipped out a quick small HV while I was waiting for the plants to grow. I also started a new tutorial game, I found it interesting that they used seed "222" for it.
Trying to build a little base and SI is bugging out on me. Why you do dis to me SI? Why?! And after all the support I gave you. Literally. Everything is supported and in the green but I add blocks to a particular spot and BOOM!
Many thanks! ^_^ For the Topic: I've had my first Death in the Tutorial Mode. I got to L20 & Unlocked the Furnace using Power Coils the Abandoned Mine & a former Akua Orbit Space Drone kindly donated to me, wanting to see what it can do. I got it Built & stuck it on the Temp Base Roof since its 3 highness was too tall for inside & I was too lazy to change the Base to accommodate when I have gotten the idea that the Tutorialness of the game had prevented me from being in any danger of Drone Waves. I go Mine up a entire remaining Vein of Iron taking it from like 95ish% of 10,000 something Ore to have a BIG load to test the Furnace's power with, take it to the Furnace, stick it in, & fire it up. I watch it & note how fast it's goin & note its Crafting Time for Iron Ingots in the Mouse Over Info, then go to my Advanced Constructor to compare... the Furnace is a little over twice as fast. My cup of tea! I go back to the Furnace & stand next to it & open it up to watch it chug along for a bit then afk to reload on water to drink opting not to Pause the Game cause I want that Iron to chug along. I come back to find the Respawn Options Screen on my Monitor & go "WTF!!? What the hell coulda killed me!!?" as I tell the game to Respawn me near Death Point. I get my Backpack & look around the Furnace trying to figure out what the hell happened... then suddenly I see a Red Exclamation Point Triangle Symbol Of OH **** WARNING WARNING WARNING!!! & then just beside it, Temp Reading of over 400 Degrees! (Fahrenheit) WTF... oh ****, that's right! Devices doing stuff like being really hot or radioactive or such while on is a thing for awhile! Dammit for forgetting about that!!! *Facepalms at self* I ace the Tutorial Steps... I survive Exploring the Planet on a barebones SV... I ace the Abandoned Mine... then I kill my own stupid ass on my own Furnace, Roger Wilco style...
Sadly it's not really an Achievement to stand next to a active Furnace long enough to die. It'd be akin to Minecraft's 'Achievement' for having figured out how to open one's Inventory. Now... if we could find some way to kill an Enemy using nothing but the Furnace's AoE Heat Output, that could be an interesting Achievement... after AI learns how to do things like recognize danger & actively seek to avoid it if it can & such.
Yesterday I fell in love with a ship, UMS by @rainyday I already loved the design on the ground, but going mining with it was really fun. It was really nice to get out and do some space mining! Next we'll go for a mining expedition to Aitis and Masperon's Moon Other than that, we had fun doing all sorts of little things, like collecting over 1500 Pentaxid crystals from one glitchy rock, and an impossible number of Brafus Fungus to make up for the ineffective large medkits. I'm not sure what glitch let us do that, but we were also threatened with some thousand or more troop transports
... and not a single one was to be seen That would have been awesome - blackened sky from the approaching troop transport armada. BTW awesome screenshots again @Starwing6 . Everybody, I highly recommend checking out her gallery page We had a quite a bit of action too, though. Just as I said that I wish somebody would come and shoot me (in game!) - I flew past Drone Base and managed to get myself shot down. There's some glitch with the sounds not always playing and I had took much more damage than I thought (yeah, yeah excuses - I got cocky ) - my core was destroyed. I was within range of the base - but apparently they didn't see the coreless SV as a threat so I was quite safe. As long as I stayed in it. Did not took long as faction member Timo came to the rescue and took out base turrets, numerous drones and troop transport. It was glorious, just to watch the fireworks happen
