    I agree with many voices on this forum: we need some warning that items, especially armor, are low / zero durability.
    Personaly, my armor was broken all the time, even when I repaired it, it was broken again as soon as I engaged more enemies, because the durability was so low it was laughable. And it's very easy to break even if it's completely new.

    Permanently reducing durability ofequipment, especially *rare* or *unique* equipment, equipment you *can't* create, like armor, is very, very bad idea. Please, let us repair the equipment to full durability.

    The idea that you cant fully repair something is ridiculous. Take a Model T. Its one of the first cars and yet collectors still have them in perfect or better than new condition and drive them around. Any machine on earth can be fully repairs with the right parts. Durability is way to low on just about everything to begin with. I have tools i've used heavily for years. Guns I've fired thousands of rounds with that have never needed more than a little oil. How is it that in the super advanced future we can't make equipment first of all nearly as durable as modern day "discount value" items. And how is it that even when they do need repair that they can't be FULLY repaired to perfect condition in a machine specifically designed to do just that.

    IMO the repair block should fully repair anything. Maybe you have to add resources for that or something if you need to balance and make the game more annoying. If you want something that only partially repairs stuff then add a field repair kit. So I'm not out and about and my plasma launcher stops working after firing 20 shots trying to kill warriors in a poi.

    Repair mechanics are really bad now too. Luckily hitting 0 durability seems to do nothing, but right now if your armor gets too damaged you can't repair it anymore and finding armor is so rare that you can't get any replacement. For Ningues or Masperon this means you can't go outside any longer.

    Drop the "maximum number of repairs" mechanic and make it cost materials to repair armor and weapons instead.

    The problem with that is the amount of resources a player generates. Realistically armor would be repairable with something less than 10 iron, but 10 iron is nothing for any player after the first day. So effectively repairs will cost nothing, which means it is yet just another annoyance with no gameplay value.

    That's a good point, but consider if different tiers of armor were more expensive to repair. You could find rarer armor with extra boost slots as others have suggested.

    The idea that you can (or should be able to) always fully repair something is one I don't agree with. Consider a scenario in real life: a majority of us on these forums can probably build a functional PC from parts. And if one of those parts breaks, we can repair the PC - by replacing the part. But how many people here work at Intel or AMD and could actually make a CPU from silicon?

    In Empy, we have these magic constructors that are limited in what they can build (but obviously CAN build CPUs from silicon). It stands to reason that things they cannot build from scratch are also things that we would not always be able to repair. Of course these are arbitrary limitations, and the idea that I can build, starting from ore, a huge, space-going vessel with warp drive - but only be able to build the most basic personal armor - is a bit silly.

    But flaws and limitations of the current implementation aside, I think durability as a fundamental mechanic CAN be part of the game in a meaningful way. I agree with people who say repairs should cost materials. And if something wears out in a way that you don't have the materials or base items required to fix, then perhaps you just can't fix it.

    For any of this to be meaningful, however, there needs to be real rarity in the game. As others have pointed out, a few ingots means nothing. There are so few base materials and items in the game right now that within a short period of time, anyone can have anything and everything they want. This also prevents the market from being useful.

    Getting this right will first require much more depth to the crafting system, with perhaps one or two orders of magnitude more types of materials and items. It will also require careful consideration and balancing. These are not things I necessarily expect to see in an alpha game where the base mechanics themselves are still being figured out. But in the long run, a rich experience requires real complexity, so I hope the devs have that in mind.

    Add ability to change the configuration of ALL weapons on a CV or HV simultaneously. When im parked in one spot I want my guns to kill aliens and predators but I dont want them wasting tons of ammo when im just cruising around the planet. It takes FOREVER to change the settings on each individual gun.

    Should have the ability to spawn at any clone bay you own. Not just the "one" set as HOME

    Reload times for hand weapons are way to long. No experienced combat soldier (which is what we quickly become in this game) takes anywhere near that long to reload a real weapon.

    Warp fuel tanks can now hold more than 1 jump worth of fuel. How about a waypoint system so I can set a destination 4 jumps away and the next system to jump to is selected after each jump. Rather than having to go back to the map each time and find and set the next system manually.

    Monsters are way to strong anyway but how about limiting the melee attack ability to oh i dont know contact range? I have been killed dozens of time if not hundreds by melee attacks from creatures that are WAY to far away to actually touch me. Like on the other side of walls or even 20-30 meters away. Even while jumping well over top of them. So its no a graphic or desyc issue b/c they could never be that high in the air anyway.

    i say the epic weapons should not have to be repaired! i repaired them a lot so now i cannot repair them so they have 100 percent durability! it was really hard getting those weapons! now i cannot even repair it! i say that you can eather repair epic weapons forever or that you DONT have to repair them, i mean they are EPIC why should they get repaired

    Instead of always striving to get back where you were before in regards to weapon power, why not add a system where players can keep adding small upgrades that increase fire rate or damage by one point at a time when added, but also have a possibility of not working every time or even dropping down one point again on a failed attempt, similar to black desert online.

    Armor durability is too low, it should last an average POI. Righ now you have to go back at least twice to swap armor. There's no other game you have to go back when through a "dungeon". I also think there should be a "minimum max durability", like, you repair a thing 100 times, but it's max durability doesn't get lower than 25% of the initial max durability. At least, that way you don't lose nothing, that's just inconvenient and you have to bring more with you.

    I agree with the sentiment that armor durability is too low, at least when you're at a point where you're taking out a POI by entering a hostile room as one guy with three guns and taking all the shots on the chin, which I think is the desired game play. Imperfect accuracy from the AI opponents would help armor durability out some.

    But once I get to the point where I'm willing to park a CV or HV beside the POI and have a minigun turret take out the core, then my armor lasts much longer because when I eventually enter the POI there aren't any sentry guns to wear it down.

    I don't think we need both degrading durability AND a limited number of repairs. Pick one; I don't care which. The effective number of repairs is probably best around 10-12. Or, let us manufacture more armor. Then you can leave the number of effective repairs around 5, as it presently is. I don't see any harm in letting us manufacture armor. We can build entire spaceships. Why not medium and heavy armor?

    Regarding the discussion about if something can be every fully repaired, or not. Well its both ways, honestly. A piece of metal that fatigues can be patched, rewelded, and so forth but will reach a point where it might as well be replaced. Components are usually made to be replaced. You should be able to replace armor components when it doesn't make sense to patch them.

    Maybe the Repair Bay patches things, but can replace things if you give it more Iron Ingots?

    Maybe patch kits are added to the loot table. Patch kits would be like healing for your armor.

    So very much this. Also, the instantaneous reflexes that let them get off 3-4 shots on you as you round a corner before you can even draw a bead on them? Aimbotting sucks to fight against. Give them a weapon pan speed and variance in their accuracy please.

    Make epic weapons unbreaking. or make it so that there is a device u can get from really hard POIs that if you use it on a epic weapon you can change it to a unbreaking epic weapon. mabey it will be called "unbreaking weapon kit". you can make a unbreaking epic weapon in the advenced constructor using the unbreaking weapon kit and a epic weapon.
