But then that Ground is not getting dug up into Crushed Rock that can then be turned into Rock Dust that can be turned into several useful things! Resource Waste! 10 outta 10 Klingon Warriors disapprove of this attitude. As for me... I can't truthfully say I could do anything but Thumbs Down it either.
Well - as far as civilian type vessels go, I would see it as a reasonable approach. As they're not meant for combat, why trying to hide and armour up the core. If you do end up trapped in combat, might as well minimize the damage.
This is an " IF " situation. I did not say I would not end victorious either : I just don't want to risk my grocery cart in battle when I have a SV begging to have fun...
Our expedition to Oscutune began with me piloting Ilmatar for the first time (that was not a parking adjustment or the one high speed rescue mission I performed). We made a pit stop at Akua's moon to pick up sathium and neodynium, and got to use the new dropship @rainyday built for these missions. It's a truly fabulous SV that reminds me of the Skyranger from XCOM 2 (my favourite game before I found Empyrion). It was really a pleasure to ride in this amazing SV, named Surma. We arrived at Oscutune orbit and tried to find something in the playfield, but we gave up after a bit because CVs aren't too well suited for scout duty. We took our SVs down to the planet and we'll try to find it later--finding a spot to call home on Oscutune was ultimately more important. @rainyday shared the tale of the adventure already, and that was a surprising, dramatic and intense adventure. Everything went great until we located the ideal location for the new expedition base camp. I had to select one with a large flat area for parking CVs and to place the new expedition base. I wouldn't settle for anything that didn't have an amazing sunset view, because that's mostly what the new base was designed for. After that, all hell broke loose! I wasn't able to take any pictures because I was stuck in orbit while all the terror was going on down below. I had to log out and come back to fix an annoying glitch that prevents docking an SV in a CV. I was able to watch most of the excitement from Timo's monitor but I could only imagine what it was like from the ground, until I just read about it now. I wrapped up my game session with a bit of logging to improve the views and make more parking space. That was pleasant, and I'm going to finish up the logging today. P.S. Oscutune technically doesn't count as a planet because it hasn't cleared its own orbit.
Today I made CV versions of a couple of SVs, rigged them to fly properly, lit, painted, and sensored them. Also refurbished the derelict SV. A good day.
Working on the space station again today. I switched out a bunch of cylinder fence blocks for something else. That saved about 22k on the triangle count. Those things and the round 4-way connectors are expensive buggers. It took me awhile to decide on colors/textures for the casino area. I haven't got it completely figured out yet but it's starting to come together. The casino area alone would make a decent sized base. Couple shots of the casino Spoiler The upstairs level has roulette, blackjack, poker, craps, tables etc. Downstairs is where the slot machines and such will be. I'm just starting to decorate it. Edit: Casino done.
Went POI raiding neutered nearby hostile poi's that had guns and was in the middle of cleaning out a poi when I started hearing weapons fire coming from outside. Apparently Ningues PV decided to come and make a house call, bloody thing blew off the two main thrusters from my SV along with half the fuel tanks which in turn created a chain reaction that blew up half the ammo blocks, air and cargo I had installed. Yup I was ticked... I proceeded to destroy the sucker and loot it of what it had.
Me and my buddy designed a 2 man hover tank and took it for a spin against a drone base only to have the main turret (which we currently cannot replace due to a lack of T3 materials) shot off, forcing us to use SVs instead.
Omg... this sounds so realistic i'd believe this as Canon! Ya are epic at Comic Making! ^_^ Lookin nice! ... Is this a bad time for me to mention that I think Gambling is a retarded thing to do? (But to each their own.) Although i'm totally digging the Comics, I have to agree with this, mostly so that the Comics Thread could then be put on Watch then found to read them extra easily which would make them even more enjoyable. For the Topic: My latest going ons is [Classified] work on [Redacted] in my Secret Place for doing my Secret work for Secret Reasons. (Hey, exposing info on here potential pvP peeps could read on here then take advantage of is not a Strategy after all. I love having an easy time keeping my Secrets cause I do all my dirty work alone. Red Team be jealous? )
Your current weather reads as "Cold Wave", & I believe it. Ya'd be surprised how cold Ocean Winds can be, even during hot days. Believe me on this, I live near the Pacific Ocean as of the time of this Post IRL. Having my RL Arms feel chilly from that Ocean Wind as the Sun is beating down hot on me can feel damn weird, but it's a total able to be a real thing.
@Tyrax Lightning I know chilly ocean wind - and it ain't the same thing as -21 celsius (thats around ~6 fahrenheit) It's -10 now during the night, normal weather. I mean the oceans should be frozen if its like this...
Having worked myself into a rut as far as gameplay, I decided to play this one without spawning anything from a BP. I opted for an Akua start and so far I've just been building out from my starting hovel until I take out the Drone Base. The other buildings are all greenhouses.
