Do you have a wreckage that looks awesome? Send it in and it might find its way into the game! Note: - GENERATORS need to be removed from any vessel - Vessel needs to have an Alien Core (Not the Admin core and not the player or player-admin core) - Make use of the destroyed blocks and rust paint!
Would it be bad to take a working ship, shoot it full of holes, then remove the generators, and replace the core? I guess what I'm asking is if real damage is somehow different? Nevermind. I just found the requirements post... http://empyriononline.com/threads/read-first-global-building-requirements.11797/
I wanted to make something small and easy first, just to make sure I was clear on the instructions. This is inspired by modern swamp boats, but with a jet engine instead of a fan. Whaaaa-hoooo! In terms of loot, it should be rather modest.
This one is inspired by large Catamarans, then crossed with an Armored Personnel Carrier. The damage was largely inflicted by shooting it with a rocket launcher and then embellishing it a little to make sure both generators and all the passenger seats were eliminated. The blueprint was saved with the damaged states. I hope that doesn't make it unusable. The various dented panels cannot otherwise be made. Pictured: Before and After
Here's a derivative work. I don't know who the original creator was but the cool fighter appearance is due entirely to them. I took the Talon MKI from the Creative Mode Akua setting and shot it up with a rocket launcher until the core and generators were gone, sawed off a wing for the fun of it, then added the Alien Core and some damage blocks, colored and rusted the damage. I think I saved the blueprint with block damage data, if that matters.
When I started on this one I was thinking of a bug with a segmented body. As I got into it, I noticed it was looking like a train. I was too far gone, so I finished it up that way, but honestly it is so awkward to drive it needs a track to follow and I wish the cars were flexible enough to bend around a curve. Anyways, as a real HV, it sucks. As loot, well maybe. As a laugh, yeh. Before and after destruction are shown. Only the derelict blueprint is provided.
Here's a smaller derelict HV with a modest amount of surviving cargo, but all of the thrusters. This one is saved with all of the damaged states. Before and After are shown.
Here's another derivitive work. I took the SV_Prefab_Tier1, shot it up, added damage blocks and rust. I'm hoping this is useful to the Devs in some way.
This was a fun little project. I attempted to recreate the escape pod as an SV on the notion that somebody might find other escape pods laying around from other ships. Then I made a damaged version the Dev's, or a scenario author, could bury in the muck. BTW, If you spawn in the undamaged variety and remove the top hatch (or use God Mode), you can sit in the pilot seat and try to fly it. It's only got a bottom thruster, but since it has an RCS you can tilt it slightly and get it to move. Its rather challenging to keep under control.
I used my HV build as a base. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=946751019&searchtext='cyclone' The idea is that it has been hit and disabled by high explosive to the side. Shown below next to an intact model
I tried my hand at making a ship wreck, behold the argo..also small image and blueprint included for the ship undamaged. I'm new at making wrecks, so as ever critique and feedback is welcome.
