A little about me: I am an engineer, miner, and amateur astronomer and cartographer. To be marooned is but a challenge. To be lost is a bigger challenge. I have been gaming since my Dad bought us a Commodore 64. I was 4. I still have a working C64.

I am looking to dive into multiplayer and make some friends for coop and friendly competition and trade. Hmm...Trade: That's where the real empire building happens. I do not troll, nor do I prey on the innocent, except the Omicron dinosaur because he's a tasty treat. As a real-life miner, I find the hand-held mining tools very small, but whether it's strip mine, drift mine, slope mine, or shaft mine, I can dig it nice and neatly. I also have a knack for navigation--no map--just the sun and stars to guilde me. And Lakes and mountains.

Where I got my handle, blood dragon 606 (Dragon six on comlink): For some the origin is already obvious. I played a LOT of Freelancer before regressing to the Sword and Shield in Oblivion and Skyrim. The handle (and the BD606 tail number) just sort of stuck after I completed the single player campaign. I played the discovery mod for a long time after the microsoft servers went away :-(

Hal calls me "Dave," mostly because that is my name.

I bought this game around the 10th of August and I've got a couple hundred hours at the time of this writing. 8/21/2015 1730z

...and I tend to ramble. I have only played in Survival as I try to immerse in the game. See you in space.
