Because it would be nice to not have to go through all that to use a blueprint in a game - also so that we wouldn't have to overwrite the existing vehicle.
Should this be limited to only original vessels? Not something that was copied from another game/movie?
Some folks have been suggesting that the devs incorporate something similar to the "projection" system used in Space Engineers. That's a pretty good idea - it would give you an outline of where to place blocks and items in order to duplicate the original ship you blueprinted (original game vessels or ones made in creative mode). That way you would actually have to spend the resources to create it again, rather than just "cheating" it in.
How about a constructor that creates a ship block from the components and your blueprint. Then you equip the block and place the ship... this way you have to have all the parts....
I'm kinda new to this...I have a SV I would like to share but, what do I use to post the picture...Do I use Imgur or is something else better?
so, I take a screen shot and then click upload...If I'm correct? Then I just type in what all was used in the build...

Ok guys so if we had structural integrity in game already it would be great to see some of those alien structures coming down, not having it on the other hand allows me to create stuff like this, anyway hope you like it… View attachment 1586 View attachment 1583
Sorry I don't have a picture, this is kind of spur of the moment. This is the first SV I have managed to build in survival. I'm pretty happy with the end result. She's nothing fancy but she'll get you where you need to be. I stripped all the dead weight off the escape pod and filled in the interior hull with trusses to keep her light. Strapped on a couple of hardpoints and away she goes. The Pheonix Max Output: 1.20 MW Consumption: 84 KW Mass: 4.90 t Fuel Tanks: 2 Oxygen Tanks: 2 Oxygen Station: 1 Cargo: 4 lockers Weapons : 2 Hard Points (suitable for any forward facing weapons)
View attachment 1595 The N'ah empire have been sighted. This appears to be a scout/light fighter vessel. Armed with quad mounted pulse lasers. Its landing gear location suggests it docks directly to its carrier vessel as opposed to landing but currently, we have no further data.
Just explain that it's held together with force fields and tractor beams between sections, works for me. LOL Supper cool looking however it is done, good job.
because more defence for your base, here the upcoming things Defence A: Defence B: Defence C: inspired by UCS faction

Started messing around with this one from scratch. She's loaded with everything but a constructor. If you find yourself looking for the fuel cells and O2 station...look in the back. I wanted to hide them almost internally. With gravity you can just reach the far fuel cell to refill it. In zero grav you can float right up to it. Seats 6 plus pilot. It's not massive by any stretch, however for her size she only weighs 14.2 t. I made it as a light assault drop ship. 5 Forward facing plasma cannons have a high likelihood of cratering your target from the stratosphere on your way in. View attachment 1622
And here's our base. It's pretty simple and straight forward - it was set up to be simple to maintain, more barracks than Hilton, influenced by my least favorite architect of all time, Frank Lloyd Wright. View attachment 1646
