hello, I have started my own server and was trying to get into making my own planets. I followed the guide for editing the content folders and then editing the save game. Started it in single player creative and moved the created play field folder to my server and everything. I can visit the planet and in the map it showed it has the correct resource nodes however when I visit the planet they do not spawn and in the map(when on the plant) showed no resources.

In addition when I edit the resources on standard planets after changing all the .yamil files after I load the planets the resources always revert back and I have to go into the save game and edit the template and delete the planet and reload. I was hoping there was a way to change them before they are loaded and not have to mess with the server every time I change something if the planet has not been loaded.

    Thanks for the help!

ok so i took some time to cool off and now i have found that you need to add the playfield and sector to the scenario file your using as well. then go into a game in sp and load the world and move that playfield into the server save game playfield.

now the question is it will not let me use the "temperate" playfield (edited with the EPD from this site) to change resources and create a new playfield. the game crashes when i load it. now i thought i needed to change the planet type in the folder to whatever im naming the planet but that didnt work. so now im forced to use the "2" templates. only problem with those is that the resource and POI spawns are in mid air. My question would be could someone walk me through making a new planet that is based off the temperate playfield that i can add to a game. i can make my way from creation i just need the help getting it made and not crashing when i try to load the planet.

    Generally:
    1. Question: Do youwant to create your own scenario or use 'Default Multiplayer'? Setable in 'dedicated.yaml' via 'CustomScenario:'

    upload_2017-9-11_6-24-32.png

    2. If you want to use default Multiplayer, the path to your playfield templates is:
    \Empyrion - Dedicated Server\Content\Scenarios\Default Multiplayer\Playfields\
    otherwise:

    \Empyrion - Dedicated Server\Content\Scenarios\YourScenarioName\Playfields\

    3. The first time you create/copy edit a playfield, it has to be in a subfolder (e.g. YourTemplateName) in the above scenario's 'Playfields' folder. As the server creates a new savegame, it picks from this folder and copies it into the Savegame folder.

    4. From the point, the savegame has been created by the server, you have to edit the playfield yaml in the following folder for changes to have an effect:
    \Empyrion - Dedicated Server\Saves\Games\NewGame_0\Templates\YourTemplateName\

    5. If you change something like POIs or resources, after the savegame's '\playfields\yourtemplatename' folder has been created already, you would have to delete the 'YourTemplateName' folder again to recreate POIs/resources.
    \Empyrion - Dedicated Server\Saves\Games\NewGame_0\Playfields\YourTemplateName\

    Crash on loading of temperate:
A crash (COQ = 'Continue or Quit', i guess) on playfield load usually means, there's something wrong in the playfield.yaml.
If you like you can upload the playfield.yaml renamed to .txt here. I'd gladly take a look, if i can find something.

    Floating POIs:
Is this still the case, after you restart the server?
Clean up the \Playfields\YourTemplateName\ folder in your savegames folder, restart the server, if the problem persist and see if that helps.
If you changed the terrain type of the playfield after the savegame has been created, this can happen, because POIs and resopurces are stored in the \Empyrion - Dedicated Server\Saves\Games\NewGame_0\Playfields\YourTemplateName\ folder.

    Hope this helps a bit.

Feel free to ask, if you have any follow up questions. :)
