This happened today and the first 5 pages was full of it (but to add its the second time this week) maybe time to up the security on the server? better 2 step verification?

Yeah, Kane and the others are well-aware of the spam. So far they've been treating it as 'business as usual,' but I'm hoping if it continues like this, they'll realize they need to step up their game a bit. I'd like to put my faith in the mods to handle this sort of issue, but frankly I've seen exactly this kind of thing before on another forum and I'm not entirely convinced they realize how bad it's getting.
that's exactly why I'm spamming here too. pm's sadly aren't enough ;-) as it seems... nah, this must stop, it's a bad sign for the community (and interested) when this forum gets over-spammed now for multiple weeks (if not months).

Why not just ban all new signups from that country's IP for a period of time? Forces them to try and use VPNs to sign up, and sign-ups can be moderator-approved, yes? They'll get tired of trying in a few days, go back to normal.
Now it's getting serious... really.... we have 35 pages (of a total of 37!! pages) full of spam only in german!!! and it's still increasing!!!
offtopic and german were both multiple times already ;-) with german having yesterday at least 3 different spammers posting...

No @piddlefoot , a forum full of spam is an absolute negative sign to outside marketing view. If someone tries to get information about this game, and looks up on this forum, then seeing lots of spam everywhere, what do you think he thinks about the forum AND the game? (-> public perception, public image)
