use a single AND gate send your motion signal through in and out of it then create a switch somewhere and set that signal as the other input for the AND gate. Then that switch overrides the motion sensor.
I finally had a chance to check out the experimental branch(it wouldn't update before). I love all the new textures! They look really good. I'm hoping they add some more wood and stone textures too but this is a good start.

Wish I had something to post. My PSU fried my whole computer. Waiting on new MB, CPU and MEM. Did not really want to upgrade right now, but I guess if I have to. Looking forward to the new 6 core Ryzen. Praying that it did not cook my GForce 960, really cant afford to replace that too. Guess by the time I get it back running 7.0 will be out. Hope it does not screw up my BPs.
I'm STILL tweaking that thing.... When I had it 4 layers tall I had the grow lights mounted on truss blocks inside the dome. ... then I figured it was too tall and took it back down to two layers, with strategic windows flipped upside down so I could mount grow lights on them. ... THEN I figured that flipping the windows was ugly and build a combat steel framework so I could mount the grow lights on the combat steel. ... and I'm STILL debating the final shape. Inside the dome.
Almost finished with your brand new warp-capable SV's! Woo hoo! The one on the left needs some detailing.... and they are both a bit sluggish with the rolls and pitches and such. Think I might leave them that way - room for customization. I dunno. Will be done tomorrow morning(ish, very ish.)

Rebuilt Shrike strike SV from the ground up and produced the WY-SVh.SuperSHRIKE.v01. Now to warp somewhere... might paint it after shakedown cruise. Better move stats than my in system strike craft and I regularly pulverize POI's in it. Hopefully it will be robust enough.
What? That tiny thing is the new warp core? Must place some signs in some engineering sections so i can find it next time.
I have the same problem with shutter doors. It seems they cannot be set to sensor input only and will open as soon as you come close. (I hope i understood your goal in the first place.) I was trying to create simple bulkheads that will close when a signal is send but will otherwise stay open. Not possible sadly.
Wow 7.0 is pretty cool. The new textures are amazing!!! You make anything look good now. I don't think I can really complain about the lack of textures anymore. I texture a whole CV today in about 30 minutes. The planets look great as well.
