Slowly working on my CV project, I liked the way the extensions came out, both proportionately and the detail and shape, but the rest I'm not so happy with at the moment. It's heavily molded after the Venture from Eve Online, though I wouldn't say it's a 1-1 recreation. The idea was for it to be similar enough to be mistaken for one, but for it to be a model of it's own.
Ok now I want wheels again. For a while I totally forgot about wheels because of the HV but looking at how EPIC a wheel vehicle would look empyrion. I want it!!! LOL It really does look like a car from Mad max and i love the pipe on the hood . Amazing design!!
Finally back and running. Time to work on the Capital vessel and Asteroid Base. Added bridge to CV, and beefed of the walkways on the base.
I think i finally found a shape i like for this ship. (Ship is still a WIP) I must say, i really love the clean surface @Fractalite created with his revised Messenger and his Tempest class. (I hope you don't mind if i adopt that style on future ships. ) I also tried to come up with a shape that does create some interesting (and good looking) visuals from as many angles as possible. Does it look like a starfleet ship? Maybe, i don't care much. There has been done so much design variations among all the various Star Trek ship designs over the years, i'd go crazy if i would try to avoid every resemblence while creating a shape i like.
Thank you FuriousHellfire for sharing SV-M4S-Sky Drifter. I have added a warp drive and tank, in the way you suggested, along with moving the Oxygen tanks to the outside edges. Thought you'd like to see what it looks like in 7.1.1 Here it is before changes. And here is the 'After' picture. I put the warp tank in that alignment so that it is still possible to walk either side and look out of the windows or access the Oxygen tanks, if necessary. Now to take it into survival
Well, today I had planned on working on my new SV, but instead spawned all the new toys I had subscribed to on Steam during the day when I was supposed to be working There are some seriously great designs out there. You guys are amazing designers, I have just spent many happy hours flying around ships made by Thasrion, Fractalite, Rucky and FuriousHellfire. I was just trying to arrange all the craft for one screenshot when the game crashed, so you'll just have to imagine the collection of brilliance assembled. The only problem is, I now don't want to go back to making my functional boxes with thrusters. I seriously need to raise my game!

It can take a while tbh. The ship is basically just an empty shell and i don't want to rush it. I want this one to be as perfect as i can, so i only work on it whenever i'm inspired. I'll maybe work on something else simultaneously, maybe a smaller support ship, or a shipyard or base.
Very Awesome. Love the shape, give us CV to CV docking and this would be a great dry dock/repair ship.
RL intruded on my game time so I did a quick foot slog through the abandoned mine. That's still much fun.
Depends on your perspective. I think we should have people like neal and pyston chained to a computer and being whipped constantly to produce their awesome designs.
