it's comin' soon and I really really felt in love with it already! (yes it can't replace a DroneHunter... but it is just so ... sexy!) but this "rust-ification" is... a really mindless boring grinding task,,,
Done. Pah. I need a brake... Rugged Arrow ========== Open-Air Jet Heli. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1162589038 not in the same league as my DroneHunters... but soo much FUN!!!!
I got the alien assassin base outside mostly done today. Interior will be a job for next week. It makes my GPU sweat, or just the new patch, I'm not sure. Hard to find a spot on Omicron to be able to spawn, and even when it does half of the structure usually float in the air.
I will keep it for early game. I like the mesh on the sides. I can exit the cockpit if want to do something in mid air still not fall to death.
Alright @rucky I got a fun challenge for you. I have enjoyed some of your ruggized creations, and others... less so. This is Whisper: It is a lower-level version of my HV Silence: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=817987817 . It is not currently on the workshop - been keeping it just for myself. It is beautiful, glows with awesome patterns at night and it is blisteringly fast, but minimally armed. I am curious to see you ruggize it - that is, if you are game. Challenge is: Must stay level 5 Include all 6 gatling cannons(it comes with 2) Must not have any "bloody" parts. Must have at least 24 m/s^2 rear and at least 15 m/s^2 in all other directions Must be equal to or less than 550 iron ingots Must NOT used hardened steel and cannot use any sathium or neodynium. Must NOT use minigun turrets Must use the new textures. Feel free to upload it to the workshop when you are finished. BP attached. ***Side note; for others, feel free to download and play with it - tis a fast, cheap little level 5 HV, I would only ask that you not publish it to the workshop until Rucky does.
@Fractalite thanx for the challenge ;-) only as a good tip, don't say you didn't liked some creations from someone in the same sentence you want him doing something for you and then even without saying what exactly you didn't liked This being said, I need a few days downtime from building, didn't have done anything else the last few days (WarpHunter, SkyRocket, Miner and now Arrow), need a brake for a few days. 15m/s² lateral Hoverspeed? Wow, that's already pretty fast. Not sure I can achieve that (it's more or less 16-18m/s² absolute max accel for hover, that's not SV accel we're talking here), and when adding "armor plates", Spikes and the lot... it will go heavier... I will see. Standard Steel will help of course (I've only used HS for the SVs as they are meant as POI attacking vessels, my HVs are not!). Texture would be mostly this one rugged texture I always used there and placing a few emphasis here and there... and... Rugged vessels don't glow. you will have to say goodbye to that if you really want me to - how did you called it? - ruggizing it...
Ooh, good call good call. Forgive me if I was rude. I disliked the red as simulating the gore and blood. I tend to be slightly more blunt/straightforward with these things when I see someone has great ability and is not using it. My bad! Well, they could glow orange, red, or yellow. I may not like the bloody, but I am fine with mean or aggressive. Either way, feel free to jettison the glowy bits - tis up to you. I routinely add Gatling cannons and raid POI's with Whisper. It already has the speed, I just added the requirements so that it is a challenge as you add bits of detailing. Should be doable. If you REALLY want a challenge, turn whisper into a ruggized SV... THAT, could be sweet. But! Is up to you.
Only the red gore/blood you disliked? Okay, I see. It's the Mad Max End of World Endtime Fallout theme I'm going in my series. That's adult stuff. (you always can paint over ) My other vessels don't have that and won't have it ever (mostly I like clean colored vessels like the Blue/Yellow DroneHunters). But then I have to warn you, I've added bloody spikes to the Rugged Drifter in an update already not sure, but I thought you like it... prior to the change of course... ok, will do. jettison ...only to be clear... "or make it a SV"... hm, it already looks like a SV... Really, sometimes I can's understand why some HVs are looking so frickin' cool SV like... but are not. Either way... will make SV. . . . when I make/convert it...
I have not had much time to build or even follow this thread lately, too much work, but today I had all day, so have had some fun making DB Hammerhead. it has not much paint or textures yet, but here are some ss of it for now.
Nice... buuut... ... this gatling... isn't directly... aiming at your head... isn't it?? I know of some "last meal" presents for some convicts... do we have some more eccentric versions now?
Hello friends ... This vessel is fully ready to fight .... I have to tell you the details ... It is not possible with an anchor in the hangar .. So, my efforts to create a "luxury yacht" SV with warp ability hit a snag - the previous design was simply too damn small. Sleek as she looked, there's just nothing luxurious about being crammed into a living space the size of a teacup. I offered the half-finished BP to @Fractalite , since it felt a shame to just abandon the design altogether, but for my part that ship is effectively scrapyard material. The luxury SV concept has not been abandoned however... Building big is not my strong suit - it's difficult for me to work at a scale that would be 'compact' by CV standards. A 4-block-tall room in SV scale is just a single CV block, and 1-block ceilings in CVs always feel claustrophobicly low. So while 3-block height is 'passable' in a SV, I'm aiming for rooms closer to 5-6 in height, for the most part. Something roomy and comfortable. The warp room is currently an exception, but I may find a way to lower the floor at least a half-block for more head room.
