Survivor only have Spikes, you know? Rugged Spikes. @Fractalite it's not the one you wanted, but I was just in the mood to create a small ruggy zucky... The eRazor! Small, still 2x Large Cargo and 3x small Cargo boxes, Armor locker, O2 stations and 2x Fridges Full Gatlings (6x) and Rockets (4x) and full of rugged Spikes everywhere!!! Hardened Steel, all Thrusters exposed and still good Manoeverability! (texture not final, rustification still to do...) Edit: Without Sathium and Neodymium costs (that is standard steal, no Rocket launcher, no shutter windows) Manoeverability get increased (of course) and ressource costs lowered, and therefore easily buildable at starter planet.
Today I re-tuned my turrets to alleviate the ecological impact, they were pooping on my driveway, of a large herd of indigenous fauna ... On a related note... I will be having a barbecue....
I decided to play survival. Finding I actually like the SSOR mining... sounded kinda ludicrous when I read about it, but it actually makes my mines have interesting shapes besides "big empty hole". With the caveat of needing the ore scanner but, since I started with one... I'm cool with it. However, I have so many rocks... I think I'm going to build a castle. In survival. Because why not?
Added a new engineering room plus warp core to the Distant Horizon and reworked some corridors. I wonder how big the inter planetary drive system and interstellar warp system are going to be. I hope the engineering section is big enough. The Starport got a glass dome (well kinda) and quarters (48). I'll probably add some more simple quarters for more than 2 persons in the central core of the station. It's a bit dark, because there's still no energy. I should probably wait until there is either a decent reactor or solar panels availlable.
Today I figured out that XenoSteel is twice as protective at any other block of its class by weight. Steel Blocks 500 hp 1 ton .25 hp/lbs Hardened steel 1000 hp 2 ton .25 hp/lbs XenoSteel 1500 hp hp 1.5 ton .5 hp/lbs Combat Steel 2000 hp 4 ton .25 hp/lbs Ultralight XenoSteel CV's anyone?
Neal, I love your engine rooms. P-gen rooms, whatever. The thought you put into them is humbling. Aren't they nice though!
Yeah he does good work. His stuff served as inspiration when I was designing the engine/power rooms on my station.
At last, I'm getting a sense of how to lay out a warp SV. Interior needs decorating and I've left empty space there for future developments (Like deco, pleeeeeze!). BP here, I don't post to the workshop.
She's pretty. A little heavy in the backside, but in a good way. Overall a nice shape and good coloring. How's the maneuverability?
Thanks. A warp SV is a stretch because I usually try to build as compact as possible. She's surprisingly maneuverable. I test flew various RCS/Thruster setups on Omicron. I'll probably group all but one thruster jet in each axis and assign the group to a switch. Off for cruising and docking, on for full power.
Thank you so much! It's the greatest praise for someone to inspire other ppl. with what i do, especially when its such awesome builders like you! *mindblow*
BAMBAMM!!! TAKE THAT ENTERPRISE, YOU SON OF A ########## Really great design. It looks like awesomeness. I love this. Do you find it perfectly functional or is it more aesthetically pleasing?
