LOL... Now if you had asked me this question about one of my other Rugged Vessels... but this one... uh, I would say, the original, is perfectly functional. Perhaps some equipment missing (which I added then), but for mining purpose, one of the best ones out there. And now my ruggetizing modifications... to call that... uhm... aesthetical... uhm... is audacious at least... but pleasing? ABSOLUTELY!
Today I discovered an error that keeps appearing in my dedicated server window. It says Data for client ID 7 not found, in place of what should be a steam64 id i guess. This error appears as a player in a space sector in the dedicated server window. It will sit there for days until i restart the sever. Then its fine but seems to creep back in later. Anyone any ideas what this could be? seen it 3 times this week already. Server is still running and seemingly fine.
Sorry about the drone shots, I'm building in survival. And I am gonna need more concrete. And this is just the outermost wall. I want battlements, baileys, crenelations, towers, the keep, the stables, the garrison (well, the room)... Its all moot since air superiority is a thing, but it's fun as heck. I've actually been digging tunnels in all the deposits nearby NEXT TO the ore, exposing them all for easy grabs later... all I want is the rocks. Hehe. I've been working on the castle by day and a survival HV by night.
UHM. I'd love to complete my missions but the problem is... there's no Jungle biome on my planet!! Anyone else have that? Here's another funny. Very very tough Dinosaurs. btw, has anyone heard when or if they're getting rid of the Dinos? Probably an end-stage change anyway.
I've played several post-7 games. So far, no humanoid alien insects, no triceratops, one or two slimes on Akua. You can open the console and type "help pda" without the quotation marks and use the appropriate console commands to finish the mission if you wish. This has torpedoed one of my favorite strategies by eliminating the opportunity to get the mighty T2 pistol early in the game.
Got some more done on my station. I had to rework the garden/hydroponics a bit. It won't win any awards but I'm satisfied with it. The detention block and armory required a complete tear down and redesign. The detention area turned out pretty good I think. Nice little reception area with a metal detector, a break room, booking desk, a small office, and of course the cell block. I still need to furnish the cells and paint/texture it. I ended up reclaiming some unused space too but this leaves me with a big empty room. I'm not sure what to do with it yet. I'm thinking of turning part of it into a computer core/server room and I suppose even a civilian station needs a small armory. I'm sure I can come up with something better than I had but I think that will still leave me with room for something else. Any ideas? I'm half tempted to build a room full of giant mechs just for the wtf factor. What would they be doing on the station? Who knows! How did they manage to fit them inside? Who knows!
The Shadow knows! EDIT: Actually an orbital station loaded with giant mechs sounds fairly practical. Rapid deployment anywhere on the surface. Hm... why does that sound familiar?
Since the SVs have a warp drive now then maybe CVs should have something faster than Warp. What about spaceball one's ludicrous speed? LOL All CVs could have ludicrous speed drive.
How do you guys feel about Empyrion having a Mech style vehicle ? Umm a MV? .. Some guy suggested it on youtube. I think it would be nice to have another ground vehicle .
It's a nice idea. But we already have flying (CV/SV), hovering (HV), walking around with varying levels of gravity, swimming (sorta), and zero-G in space. Adding to that - people would like to see wheeled vehicles (Mad-Max style), and on top of all of those modes of transportation a new mechanized vehicle like a walker... and it's just overkill for the devs to keep up. Don't get me wrong - I *love* mechs. But we have to cull our options for transportation at some point, and either remove old ones, or just say no to new ones. Personally I'd get rid of HVs and add in wheeled and mechanized as new methods. CVs and SVs have flying covered pretty well.
I hacked a warp drive into my existing Argo SV. I'm kind of enjoying the improvised and asymmetric appearance of the hack and have rationalized it as a field retrofit In my 7X survival game I've discovered that POI turrets and hostile NPCs would seem to have increased range and accuracy, and that the AI troop carrier seems to resupply troops nearly endlessly. I died several times trying to escape from being pinned down between multiple POI sites and successive waves of drop troops. The NPCs and turrets were still dead-eyeing me with bullets and plasma at several hundred meters as I swam along the bottom of a deep sea away from them. I'm not entirely sure that shot spread is working quite the way that Eleon intended...
Mechs are cool (As long as you watch your temperature gauge). I'd prefer wheels if there's another class of vehicles brought into the game.
Well I don't know it's that big of deal. More vehicle types means more options because on some servers people do want to have battlefield style combat with different vehicle types. Now Wheels are on the list of features so unless the devs changed their minds it may still be in the to do list. Now there was rumors of a 4th type of vehicle but it was going to be a underwater vehicle but I don't know if that is true or not.
