Do you have a derelict planet or orbital station that looks awesome? Send it in and it might find its way into the game! Note: - GENERATORS need to be removed - Base needs to have an Alien Core (Not the Admin core and not the player or player-admin core) - Make use of the destroyed blocks and rust paint! - BAs (planet) shall not have any "sub-terrain" compartments
What will be 'main purpose' of this type of buildings in game? I don't actually need precise answer (if you have some secret future master-plan about damaged/derelict POIs ), I'm asking about materials for building - would simple basic steel be enough or you want some hardened & combat steel? Are they intended for fixing & living, looting & combat, recycling,... I think this have a great gaming potential as someone who is lately playing EGS more as a survival game on hardest settings with low resources. Having 'derelict POI/vessel' on planets then fixing & using them sounds great (maybe even some of them with Admin cores with couple of devices set on public, just for shelter and adv. manufacturing, something like current Trade Station POIs and portals) Same goes for Vessels on other topic Playing "Shadows of Starlight" I had to fix/rebuild one simple SV, and to build another one from pieces & devices found inside Base in crates... forme that was a great change from usual gameplay (I'm working on some VERY stupid 'big idea' last couple of days based on this derelict topic, and I'm building with basic steel blocks)
Materials do not matter that much this time, as these are for discovery (enriching the playfield) not for poi fights (but not necessarily uninhabited And materials can be upgraded, so steel would be ok. For planetary bases maybe a mix of al materials except combat steel is ok.
I have made an Aqueduct for you to enrich the play field, if you like it. I have not apply textures because I had constant problems with orientation. I really miss more damage variety for the full block to make it more realistic.
Had a crack at building a destroyed dome next. some poor farmer's homestead that got wrecked by some mysterious adversary, possibly one with a burning hatred of corn. as ever original is thumbnailed and included.
