Problem is, they're not gonna happen. Is there a max number of Drones which can hinder Base Attack Drones to launch? Or is there a max number of POIs that could hinder it? Any other idea? thanx.
It's definitively the number of POIs or the Drones (because they're attached to them). As I removed some POIs to get the total amount down to 18 (inclusive two SVs), they're starting again to attack... 19 ... and NO. It's not the problem of the 19th, as it's only a number increase of an [x,y] interval... It's not the problem of general spawning more POIs (or Drones) in either, but still something seems to stop triggering the Base Attack... Anyone insight on this? edit: seems the Drone number is the problem. I've deactivated the Drones for #17 and #18 (and all following) and got a #19th/#20th/#21th/#22th/... POI in with still Base Attacks incoming! So is the maximum Drones in a playfield hard coded or where can I increase this value?
But then again... The Base Attack started three times, then nothing anymore. Wasn't this issue not fixed sometime ago?!
That number is max drones active at any time. I believe that you can spawn any number of drones in succession. And, I did some looking around, you can have 39 drones max active on a planet and 40 in space.
which means I'd only had to destroy a few Drones on the playfield then I'd got an base attack eventually...
Yep. There are a couple of threads here about tweaking the .yaml to max out the number of drones or the number assigned to POIs. You can make things real exciting that way.
I call them Amazon Drones because they deliver components to my constructors, with free shipping. I'd be really excited to find a planet full of them, let alone space.
Ive never gone beyond 20 but the top limit would be handy to know, definitely. What I notice is the more you have at once, the more jerky there movement is. Magnified in MP 3x over.
It's even more complicated. Space. Here not only the max Drones "active-at-any-time" is hardcoded, but also the MAXIMUM AMOUNT what ever could spawn!!! See here for some more insights: What did you do in Empyrion today? I really hope that gets removed when AI / PVE will get an overhaul!!!
It doesn't pay me, from a gameplay standpoint, to have too many drones active around the same point. When there are enough of them to blow me out of the sky they don't do a swarm attack. Instead, they peel off two at a time while the rest of them cluster around the POI like fish in a barrel.
