thanx... perhaps I'm staying at black and blue this time... Dark purple?... you got something... it's dark... perfect.... but to find the complement color for accentuation... hm... not bad... thanx for the suggestion... need to memorize that color combo...
OMG... is that the sky blue? I'm partially salty now, I originally specifically suggested sky blue as the color accent, but edited it to blue as I thought it might be too bright.. But if that is it.. Dayum.. I will be using that color combo for sure, looks great! Another option that is only really possible with blues is to have a blue 'rainbow'. ie: Cycle the shade as you move backwards along chassis.
Hmm... the purple & light blue... kinda neutral in synergy imho... not quite enough. purple & black, totally working.
The brown or black/brown get my vote. Blue w/stripes was almost military in style. Grey was bright, without color (almost too plain).
both version do! (that's my LAST one, I promise!) I hope some of you got some color combo for their work too, so that this design study had some general payoff for you too
Why do I have the feeling, some Devs are always watching us, and then bringing in some of that feature we're talking about... more... or less... ?!!!!! COLORABLE ZIRAX!!!! (more or less...)
I'm still tweaking the dome, I sectioned off the 3 parts of the ship and gave each part it's own independent O2 supply. For role-playing purposes, I gave added steel struts to the dome to "reinforce" it. I have been debating on replacing the radar dishes with turrets, then moving one of them to the forward section of the ship. After all, I still have 5 tonnes before I hit the weight limit.
... If I take the name into account too I have to tend towards the last color combo; primarily black and purple. Iron Duke sounds like someone you don't want to upset then meet in a dark alley. Imagine that Black and purple beauty laying in wait for you. Terrifying and glorious all at once ^
For once my connection is letting me upload stuff an then apparently the workshop is too busy to let me upload my Signal Logic Demonstrator. Thanks, Obama! Workshop works again: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1224449591 Workshop link will follow soon™. Small CV (fits the sub kiloton challenge with two small generators) with 9 motion sensors and 3 levers. Automate everything! Features: - thrusters and RCS turn on when you sit down in the pilot seat, auto off if you leave, override in control panel - ramps will only extend when noone is in the pilot seat, override in control panel - ramps stay extended once you approach them and auto-restract when you get in the cockpit - power to constructor and food processor on motion sensors, override levers next to the machine - gravity gen only active while there is activity in the ship - lockdown lever that prevents ramps from extending and keep the hangar door shut - front spotlight turns on and off with engines, override in control panel
Will this be colour schemes for different classes of Zirax? Shotgunners green. Rocket launchers red. That sort of thing?
I finished up the Rifter today. I wasn't even planning on building this. I just wanted to take a look at the imported model someone had made earlier this week but I got to tinkering with it and the next thing I know it's 2am. I've been working on it sporadically all week. Figured I might as well finish it.
Well on the survey we took last week there was a feature that said Turrets for SVs . I happen to make a comment about "How can I choose between SV turrets and all the other cool features?" Hummel replied to me by saying " All the features will make it into the game at some point". So judging by Hummel post some type of turrets are coming to SV. As far as docking goes, I think it's HV being able to dock with the SV because a lot of people wanted that feature.
Well I made statement about SV being the (to use your words) "Swiss Army Knife " of ships because if you look at the survey at what they have planned for the SV and the fact it already has the ability to warp. It sure seems like a Swiss Army knife ship which is cool in a way. last week I used the WARP drive on my SV and it was pretty cool but It does make you wonder how the DEVs view the SV. I will admit the new features added to SV will be fun but I don't how it will affect the other two ships.. I will still use a HV for ground attacks in combat but I've played with a SV style ships in Space Engineers and they do have turrets. They are pretty fun. Hopefully after the devs redo ships weapons, fix the ship to ship combat and add shields they give us a better idea of why we would need each ship in game.
I "blew up" a ship for fun... Not nearly as maneuverable as it's counterpart, but it flies (Original: Rapscallion MK-II Warp Core, by Pyston)
