I like the Drof but have to agree that back is boxy. Here is my awful take in hopes that it spurs some inspiration.
I added the "mom's attic" like you find on a U-Haul, I think this will work for the conversion. As always, feedback is welcome. I also added another joke to the back, too much? --- edit --- Yeah, too much, I removed it from the blueprint and left it blank.
Have ya tried hollowing out the inside of the Barrel of those Fake Turrets & hiding Manual Fire Weapons inside them to make them 'pseudo-operational'? Better FedEx then UPS. I like it! Lookin good for a first Hover War Tank. I also like how ya sought to give your Turrets a bit of cover to make them harder to snipe down... though in regards to your cover for your Homer up front top there, I think ya accidentally overdid it a little on it on its front corners & have compromised some of its Firing LoS making the front corner areas more vulnerable to getting Flanked more with less retaliation against those attacks possible... plus that hole in the front for the Homers to fire straight forward through might be a bit too narrow & it might be a bit too easy for the Homers to have accidents & mistakenly hit the cover itself instead of actually fire out. 8.5 outta 10, good first effort. & don't let IGN try to 6.5 ya, I say they can kiss all our asses. It's a Hover War Tank dude, not a Car Show Tutu Ballerina. Again, Hover War Tank. It's not supposed to sacrifice Brawn for Pretty Boy-ness. Inspiration? Here's REAL Inspiration! Tyrax Hover War Tank: (Says "Screw your pretty boy looks chumps!") *Flexes mighty brawny muscles* Edit: Found stupid embarrassing Typo I could not allow to live & squished it.
Nice, and it kinda reminds me of my Cownose Ray. Blue, (please forgive me if it's not, color-blind) and all you see is weapons if you look from the front. Lots and lots of weapons.
Oddly, my thought was the Box on the rear needs to be More boxy. If it looked like something on the back it'd fit perfectly.
I will be stealing shaping ideas from this. Impressive work, well done! Good luck decorating that lot ^^
My Tank is quite a couple months old, but it's still my current most recent Tank Build. Also, yep, it's Blue. Blue's my fav Color, especially Cobalt Blue. I dominantly use Blue in my Builds, & situationally the Light Blue which is the current closes one can get to usability of Electric Blue at this time, which is situationally useful on stuff that takes it well, like Hover Engines. (Shame Turrets don't take the Light Blue so well... on Turrets, looks like some kinda blue-colored Irradiatedness... like if some kinda Radiation Gun had hit the Turret awful hard & long... ) I stand by my beliefs, that Tanks are for looking scary, intimidating, menacing, & deadly... not 'pretty' or 'shapely' or 'curvy' & especially not 'pretty boy'... You Civilians trying to 'pretty' the Tank up like a little girl working on her Father's Hair with Barretes, Hair Clips, & such... this is the kinda time it's dumb that this Forum is absent the "WTF!!?" Emote... @Kane Hart really needs to buff the Emote Count on this Forum... >_< Tanks are Warriors, not Super Models.
I decided to try my SP game again after this new update, I used admin to fix my disappeared ship, then went back to the planet. I continued using the Space ports constructor to prep for my warp sv. Got me some better weaponry and all was good. Then randomly I found evidence of what happened to my ship that 'vanished'. It appears to have reverted to a previous position from the one my player character was saved in. I used this base initially to hide on the first night and to spawn the pod in the first place. I'm guessing the troop transports that I've haven't seen yet were busy. The base appeared to be untouched. After I got my warp SV spawned (All hail admin station!) I got treated to a pleasing view as I hit the upper atmosphere. The moon rose majestically, as did I, and crossed in front on me as I paused to nab the screenshot. Now to head to there to get me some yummy pentaxid ^
I think the hull is done, and me too.... Class 8.14 or something by now... Reworked the nose: The hull: The detail: The backside: (yes, two hangars ) Are there enough/even any servers that allow the spawning of such large ships in online survival games? But then again, 80k sathium and 40k iron isnt a strong selling argument, even with a two layered hull, is it?
I am calling this one the Tempest-X. Was in the mood to make a small SV fighter. Not quite completed but do you think I should upload to the workshop? Doesn't matter either way, I have literal tons of ships that I don't upload or finish. Save them for times I need inspiration. Thanks again!
I understand what you're saying but first: I just can't help trying to make the thing look nice and second: the little horn piece on top is meant to protect the smaller turret but still allow it to fire straight ahead. Kind of like these where the weapon is lower than the armor: But the only reason the shield is so high is the small turret was placed there with the sole purpose of being an AA drone killer whilst I sit in the artillery bombarding a base's defenses. So I did sort of think about the design but again I get what you mean. My designs always go through like 10 modification passes until I get them how I like so I'm sure this little tank has a bit to go.
can i make a request can someone make me a simple HV based after the HEMTT for haulling, si instead of wheels it be the hover ones here is a screen for refrence
