Hey everyone, I've made a pretty basic website logo given that previously it was just text. I'm no artist and quickly put it together in photoshop. If anyone else wants to make something better, feel free to and post it here! The dimensions should be similar to the image attached (175x67) but doesn't have to be exact. View attachment 30
Sweet! A bit undersized on my 1080p display, but very workable. Kane, I have noticed there are 2 forums linked on the main page. Is this the permanent forum, or is the other one? If there will be a migration, will all of our old posts and forum stats be transferred as well?
I can't speak on behalf of Eleon Game but as far as I know they don't plan on setting up their own forums anytime soon or maybe for good. On the chance they ever do decide to run their own forums will still provide support as a community run fansite. We tend to work close with devs on our fansites and sort of take the work of them having to manage and run forums and let them just post the news. But if they decide to run their own forums will be more then happy to keep supporting the site so there will be no posts lost etc.
Sir, if you look on the Empyrion Online Home/Main page two forums are currently listed. Implying that they are both official. I am confused on this topic.
They had added our forums to the list but then a couple days later they added a link to their own official forums that did not work at the time or now. So it might be something that will happen or it might be something they will remove. The developers needed and need us to earn their trust and vice versa. So I actually have no clue and no one here would really know for sure besides what the developers decide to do.
Ideally they should stick with empyriononline.com given that 1) it already has a nice strong base community built, 2) the domain name is awesome, 3) it is managed and well maintained already with a good administrator. Here's hoping they just make this website the official forum and then they can just worry about making the game knowing empyriononline.com is being maintained in trusted hands. Can I use a different type format or you set on the one type style? I figure the text needs to be the same. What about the color? do you have a set CMYK to stick to?
I think everyone would be fine with anything so long as it looks kick ass. CMYK is for print, not digital, so if you're going to create something you should be using RGB color mode.
CMYK is used for print, that's why I asked. Cause most companies have a set CMYK due to tie shirt runs for product and business cards. Working as a screen printer I know it's easier for a set CMYK to be moved over to an RGB then it is for an RGB to a CMYK. RGB is a computer or screen based system but since all screens are set different picking an RGB is just picking the nearest color not the true color. Where as print everyone is seeing the same color object, and no matter how you see that color the formula to get to that color is always the same.
