Hover Racing is growing in popularity and ZeroG now has a racer to introduce! The ZeroG Banshee-X is a production based model from our older Banshee prototype. While the orignal Banshee was an SV, Banshee-X is an HV. Long sleek styling makes Banshee cut through the competition! So are you ready? Been working on a proper Bunker for me to hole up in. I use a shape importer to get the beginnings and work from there on big projects. This one was imported from thingverse via EGST. Starting Blocks. And where I'd consider myself about halfway done. Meant to be sunk into the ground. Antennas are places slated as hard-points. I'll put it up when I'm done with a photo-spread.
3 days into the game (Jan 2nd last year) and I had a wooden base and my first SV. I can still remember that first trip into space.
Know how ya feel there. I'm still wondering if i'll get my CV Build done 2 seconds before 8.0 comes out then have my CV Build end up obsolete before it ever even gets a Maiden Voyage... & that's on TOP if if my Build even succeeds or if I get it at or near done then it gets deemed a failure... >_< My love of Brawn & Power compels me to choose Cerberus-X. I like Racing as a Concept & have been tempted to try out building a Racer just for the Building Challenge, but sadly i'll never be any good at actually doing the Racing... Even on the likes of the old Mario Cart 64, I tended to only win like 1 outta 3 Races on average. (Screw you too Rubber Band AI, which during my playing this as a Kiddo I never knew about the concept of... so I blamed myself for all my AI Cheating induced losses... though there were no shortage of times when it was my own stupid fault when I accidentally drove myself right off the Track & into the Drink... )
Probably fixable. In case you haven't already deleted it, try this: Locate in your corrupt savegame the /players/(yourIDnumber).ply file. Rename it, and copy in that folder the .ply from the savegame before- or, if nothing helps, from a freshly started game on Akua. - Your position and inventory will be set back to the other's save game. Maybe freshly spawned / created vehicles don't show up, and PDA missions get reset. But for a static world, this worked for me...
THANK YOU. Current inventory overwritten with yesterday's stuff but no biggie. Itemmenu'd in a couple of the nicer things I specifically remembered having - T2 pistol, some boosters - but I got back the changes on my base, my SV's new paintjob, and the POI I raided - most of the loot was put away by the time of the crash. I was kinda hoping someone knew a trick like this but was braced for the worst.
Today in Empyrion I finished overhauling a carrier and posted it to the workshop. Here is the link if you want to take a look. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1277707531
That reminds me of another way that might get your ships back (with their last contents)... https://eleon.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/209991245-How-to-recover-lost-or-stuck-vessels The ply method talked about here... https://steamcommunity.com/app/383120/discussions/0/1620600279674355731/
Thanks, it's pretty well sorted now but I'll hang onto the links - should be useful. Oh the joys of early access. Worth it.
Been working on the NXT again this weekend. Tweaked the back end a bit to restore some of the sleek tapered look of the old version. Better shot of the hangar, looking in. Upper wall leads to the bridge, the lower door is the walkway entry (for those on foot), and the door to the right leads to the med-bay, which boasts a full compliment of scanners as well as the medic station itself (and O2 for those low on air).
Addendum to my 1st SV post up the page a bit. I found another picture. An under-view. Apparently it's not an SV... and I sure must have had a terrible ride in that thing.
Like some others, I do some of my work in space even for ground bases. When I first started on the "Counter Stroke" base, solar was not yet a thing. So I added some additional bits to mount a few solar panels for power. Hope to finish this base soon as a compliment to my Phased Stroke CV which is meant to be parked in the center of this.
Lol and on that note My Brand New Mobo went Teats Up on me replacement likely on 30th...*SIGH* at least my house is getting cleaned up nice. >8-(
Yikes, hate when you get DOAs like that. I almost broke a new motherboard today as the heatsink required insane force to mount. Opted for a 3rd party sink instead. When are we getting heatsinks for weapons in Empyrion? Just one more way to balance them - dumping heat they accumulate!
My sincere condolences. Nothing drives a man to murder quite like his computer misbehaving. Last year my harddrive died (which caused a few problems, as i kept certain tax-related records on it) and then my power supply. My power supply took about a month or two to diagnose, and had me tearing my hair out every time my comp crashed while doing something important (playing online games with my friends). I won't go into the details, but yeah, nothing drives a man to murder quite like his computer misbehaving.
going to be adding in a new custom model of the starship troopers alesia fast attack frigate to my blank list by sunday and making one as version as well for thos too lazy to google what it would look like
I wish you well in your efforts to get back up & running. Factory Defect & Shipper Mishandling... everyone's worst nightmare... Getting something & finding out the hard way that it was bad quality has gotta be close in horror level too. May the Computer Light Side of the Force be with you. For the Motherboard I got for Mom's New Build, it had stupid Plastic Brackets for its CPU Heatsink area on the Motherboard I had to remove to Install the Backplate & Mounting for her Build's Water Cooler CPU Heatsink... the Screws holding that Plastic Bracket on that NEEDED to come out were Factory Inserted so tight I was scared to death of if the Motherboard was gonna get hurt trying to get those ^%&*%^$ out of there AND they kept trying like HELL to Screw Head strip out rather then even START to Untighten... What the hell kinda Retards do this!!? On the other hand, this Motherboard also Defaulted its SATA Ports to AHCI... something I wish MY Motherboard for my Build had done cause at the time of making this Build I now Computer from, I wasn't aware of Hard Drive Force Powers like IDE, AHCI, RAID, & such kinda knowledge so my Build's stuck on "New IDE" instead of an actual REAL Drive Mode & it'd hurt to much to F Disk this Build & try to get everything back on here just to switch Drive Mode to AHCI.
