Hehe. Not a bug deflector. Cage armor. For detonating explosive rounds away from your juicy bits. And Powerlifters are more cylindrical.... less defined. Which describes me fairly well Mostly, they kinda look fat. Till you piss them off and they throw an engine block at you
The_Slicer Heavy fighter for drawing fire and take down from some range slower moving targets. Several options for rearranging the inside and put on more thrust.
I have done no painting or textures but here is my base idea. What better way to confuse the enemy by not allowing them to know if you are moving away from them or at them. Coming and going all at once they will never know. 4 rail guns two pointed fore and aft... or is is aft and fore... I cannot tell. And for the life of me I cannot take any good photos of this since it looks the same regardless of how I look at it....
I by no means wish to belittle your nice looking decent performance vehicle. More than a competent design that I would give high marks for innovation in chassis. However the commercial 'sound-bite' that keeps playing in my head is "New in 2018 the Barbie Invaders from Mars themed Playset! Swoop down and teach those proto-simians on the Third Rock a lesson!" I really like it. I smile every time I see a pic.
I am, perhaps, a little too proud of this part of Field revision.01 for the Omicron variant of the Lemur. Now you see it! Now you Don't What 'It' is is a micro-enviromental shield inside it? 71F and you are standing on an 02 dispenser. Hop back in the cockpit and it shuts off and the door closes. So. Happy. This innovation replaces an ENTIRE SV for me.
I've really enjoyed looking at the builds here. Really fun stuff! Here is my entry, the Altair 5. Steam Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1300935074
Here is my entry, the Orange Darner, a new addition to my Dragonfly collection. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1301015755 I wanted the ramp to go to the ground, but to stay within the bounds of the challenge I ended up coming just a tad short. I did test jumping onto the ramp and it seems to be plausible even without jump pack turned on, but I forgot to check the actual gravity level where I was making those unassisted jumps. Now I can see updates to this thread without having to remember where it is in the forums. Not that I have had issues up to this point doing so. I just like being lazy.
Since some people liked the base build I fixed a few things and slapped on some paint and texture. Oh and I renamed it to Palindrome. Found here on the workshop... http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1301048454
There we go. It's amazing what a little detail work and a good paint job can do for a ship. Such a unique design and concept too! Damn clever. How'd you enclose the top?
I Didn't. The '5 sides counts as shelter' peculiarity of structures sets the temperature. Fields on 3, o2 dispenser(backed by airtight blocks) on the bottom, and the cockpit behind. Top is open.
Ahhh the joys of having multiple ships with the same/similar names https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1301068133
Thanks Kieve! This design actually started out as a CV but I thought it might work great for this challenge. @Hicks42 - Would you be so kind as to share the blueprint so I may take a closer look?
@Whoom Seems that your vessel will not fit within a 13x6x17 box (hangar, door 13x6 size I assume, or fit in the exhaust channel to the "Death Star" and do corners ... ). A flat landing gear count as 1 block too, unless on the top there is half blocks or similar, maybe. @Jenniphurr (& others) Assume only 1 entry, else I have at least 1 more.
Love the amount of entries incoming, can't wait to see a group picture. Hopefully more will come. Still 9 days to go, come on ppl join an effort in this. Not so much for " a win" , more for the participation fun.
Why does this have an ambulance feel to me, must be the color combination. Isn't this a bit too large ? Think you're focussing on the wrong page of dimension numbers, it's those displayed on the blueprint page.
It does. It is 6m tall, 9.5 meters wide and 9 meters deep. It was stated that the 6m was the height, so it just fits. I had to spend some time playing with the height a bit to get it in under the size limit
