>ribbit< My entry is up, the Bullfrog. It has a double-block hull on the main section, the RCS units are scattered throughout the ship so they cannot all be taken out at once. Also, the fuel and O2 tanks are behind the double-block sections, as well as the core. Backup thrusters and HV engines on the main hull, with a lot of interior space for additions.
NightShade Here's my entry for the tank build. Sort of morphed out of an existing one i made previously. I kept the gun limit vanilla so i can use it in any game. Didn't go full size on this one, so it's rather compact inside. More pics via the link ... http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1318431253 NEEEEXT !
Wow great work! I am loving the ribbing you have on the rear thruster areas. Over shape is very appealing~
Personally, I thought both A and B looked great to me. Sorry, I am no help in choosing. Though the idea of a pink bow on the other did sound like quite a sight too. I would wager it is ramps. This has plagued a few of my blueprints, being wider or longer than I thought they should be. Remember that my Orange Darner doesn't use the ramp I really wanted for it off the back? That was because the ramp would have put the the SV over the challenge limit. Seems the game counts the full extended length of the ramps.
Making progress, but feels like it is still so far off. Spoiler: A couple pics of WIP Used one of my incomplete refits to haul my tank out into space. I wanted to do some of the work out here where gravity was not a problem and I could try for some those odd angles on the interior work. If only I had closed everything off behind solid walls of blocks this would be so much easier I think. Well, I finally have started texture and paint work on the interior. Taking this out into space was the right choice. Some of what I already did would have required a lot more hassle to get to otherwise. I think the cockpit in the front is done, but the worst is still ahead in the main cabin.
Just a little clarification, 1) "Each passenger and pilot must have their own". Does that mean the fridge, armor, cargo box and o2 station must be right by the passenger seat? Or so long as there's enough provision in the HV? 2) Do passengers literally mean passenger? Can there be provisions of passenger seats while role-playing e.g a gunner, scout etc.? Thanks.
on 1: I understand it so, that there must be one Fridge, Armourlocker, Cargobox for each "seat" in your HV. O2 Station at least one on the whole vessel. Where you put these is irrelevant for the challenge. on 2: do as you like, as long there is at least one cockpitblock and at minimum 2 passengerseat blocks. (closed/open count but must be airtight)
I can't answer it ofcourse, but I would assume you only need ONE O2 Station in the whole Vessel and the equipment should be accessible for any passenger (not burried), but not necessarily directly besides each seat. I have one additional pilot seat (backup scneario for hull breach situations) and a gunner seat (meant as artillery gunner) and 4 additional classic passenger seats (a total of 7 persons including the main pilot), I think any Seat whereever it is / has roleplay functions (near some kind of console perhaps ;-) is counted and accepted. But let's hear @Jenniphurr about that.
uhh sry In essence we had the same understanding of the rules for the challenge. @styLmntz : Oh and dont forget the constructor! edit: typo
Thank you Jenn, eventually i learned the ribbing from Kieve's last entry. Never thought of that. One question though, mulled around a bit with a switch inside Nightshade. Did you see it ? or anyone ? The idea was to have it noticable enough for the driver to see. I used a motion sensor at first, but once you sit down it turns off again, bugger. So now i'm wondering if ppl actually notice it, even used a big arrow, lol. It does some light effect and switches the monitors on. Kinda suck at the monitor part & what to put on them, wish we had some deco screens.
Sure here you go~ 1: Just required to have those items aboard. 2: Just having the passenger seats is enough. You're ok, just don't think to deep on this one.
Hey LP, you here ! Why don't you join with an epic tank build of yours . You can make an episode of it for your tube vids.
