@styLmntz : Wow, stylish,Tron, awesome ! @rucky : Yeah, evil vibrant, muahahahaaah ! @Friendly Timo : Sweet front view, must see it inside some time. They're dropping in good now , mooooore lol !!! ======== Little update on the Nightshade (for those who might allready spawned) : added more beef to sensetive areas, bit longer now. ========
The second set of hoverjets are redundant on the tank. The only purpose of them is a backup when the outer ones have been destroyed. They do seem to have a modifier on amount of upward thrust. The jump packs were because I started with 3, and discovered it doesn't really cause it to jump at all. I increased it to a complete bottom section plus those first three and it will manage to get it over a rock if it gets stuck. But this item really in the classification of heavy tank. It's not supposed to do acrobatics. I personally have ridden an M1 abrams. They feel more like your in a boat vs a ground vehicle. And they really do have that slow up and down feeling. That was the feeling I was trying to get in this tank.
Thanks Rucky. I dig yours as well. I think your ship, no joke, is the first build in Empryion that actually scares me. I mean its like a horror movie. I think I would poo my pants if I ran into a group of those in a game. The red color and changes you made really take it to the next level.
and the best about it is, there is no red coloring ;-) it's just the indirect lights giving it that scary glowing feel ;-)
Finally got mine done: AHV Olympia workshop: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1321150128 It's not much of a tank, more of a warship that aspires to be a tank. I used this challenge as an excuse to finally build a futuristic water-warship Cruiser thing. It does fine on land, or partially submerged like a boat. Due to the height limit I couldn't make it submerge very far and still move fast (I'd need about 18blocks high for full movement). Oh, and it's technically 1 block too long - it's counting the rear entry ramp when extended. I can modify it a bit to be 1 block shorter if needed, but it looks weird when the top of the ramp is further inward than the doorframe. Seats 10, has a boatload (heh) of cargoboxes, armor lockers, fridges. Spoiler: click for pics edit: added in a bunch of pics to a spoiler, after taking it to Oscutune (best planet) Now that I've finally got it done I'll try to make a nicer display platform than the one I linked earlier in the thread. I think larger parking spots would look better, maybe 15x15 block.
This looks great! I need to run around and check it out inside. Also don't worry about the ramp issue, we are only going to count the base of it.
Oh wow... that... is... artful... Lookin totally awesomesauce! I look forward to UVs someday becoming possible & then after that UV Challenges becoming possible.
This makes me want to reconsider my entire submission and design something new, that's how nice it is. I guess I might, what I got so far has ended up slightly too generic for my taste.
Argh! I am completely lost on my build. Interior is giving me issues. I have moved and changed over and over and over tonight. Very frustrating. Here is what I have left it at right now. FYI I do not like this layout at all, but I like it better than anything else thus far. Maybe playing some Chrono Trigger will help~
Love Chrono Trigger! ^_^ <3 Marle, Lucca, & Ayla especially! Chrono, Robo, & Frog rock too. Magus can kiss my Shiny Glitch Ass. Also if your efforts at making your Entry don't pan out, ya can always bum a Tyrax Hunting RV Tank from me.
Still got a few days to finish my entry, and once again, the competition is strong Torn between the minimalist scout tank I made in the first day, and the heavier tank I'm still working on. Here's the scout: Yes, it does qualify! Only finished the nose on the heavier one, so I don't know how it'll pan out yet. I'm building it inside-out, which is novel for me; I normally start with the skin and build in for larger projects. I'm building it according to the layout of a real tank (as much as I can), so entry is by clambering over the body and dropping into a hatch. More pics behind the spoiler. Spoiler
Here comes... PSI PHT-7 'ROUTA' Medium battle tank >> Steam Workshop Mainstay battle tank of the Polaris Corporation military forces - 'Routa' is to replace the outdated 'Stringray' models in front line operations. -Crew of three - with the ability to carry two extra passengers in combat. Each crew member & passenger has dedicated cargo box, armour locker & fridge. -'Combat Mode' which dims the interior & exterior lighting and closes window hatches. -All main operations of the vessel can be accessed via hatches and controlled via levers - Control Panel is not needed to operate this vessel (unless you want to access the turrets, of course...).
I really like the looks and feels of the scout! Good job! Also @rainyday your design is fantastic as always
Both look great, but I like the turret under the nose on the scout! Impressive! Interior looks to be tight and functional. Good touch on the combat mode.
