So much work on my Cargo Hauler happened tonight. I have finally settled on a clamp design I am now liking. Still some work to do but I am happy with the direction now. I might be able to finally start on the interior tomorrow night. But for now here are some updated screens!
Hmm, now that you say that I must remember to put a shipment of that inside that once finished. Now if only we could rename items and put them inside BP's~ might make for some fun!
With new ideas spilling out of my brain, I thought I should get at least one of the current blueprint finished and posted online. So I took one of my small HV that was all done except for texture and paint work and finished it off. Initially, I was going to give it its own color scheme and then I remembered that I have long had a CV I called the Ant Hauler. This little truck was named the Ant and designed to easily side or butt dock with the hull of the Ant Hauler. So I went with the two blue tones and added a little bit of brown. Spoiler: Pics and link http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1338204567 This brings my Sweet Lemons collection up to 5 blueprints. I have been using this for months in my survival games in its original dull grey without any texture or paint work. Perhaps it is good that I did not finish until now? I added a motion sensor and rigged the cabin doors and the ramps up to it. It can hold up to 16 large cargo boxes. Although I built this as a companion to the Ant Hauler in my Sweet Lemons collection, in my survival games I mix and match what I am using, so I often used this docked to the waddle of my Turkey CV to greatly extend my storage capacity while exploring worlds. Illustrating that it fits nicely docked to the Ant Hauler CV. I think I used a lighter blue for the second blue. I still hope to finish my flying farm before April 1, but I think there are also a few these "nearly" done blueprints I have that I probably ought to finally finish... and then there is the new ideas filling my head as well.
Working on a new hover, cant really decide.. all look blocky... Look, i made a hole! The power of dual saw's! Comparing size with my -=Sephrajin Carrier=- vs. Ningue (or was that skillon) TSO and the Cerebrus/Prometheus. First (done, backround) and current poi project, its going down a bit and will be medium to hard. And a bit worked on: EDIT: Lol just figured, one my tanks has a similar design as TAC's APG. (Mine)Looks so bulky..
ok guys AEGIS cargo ship is under way will be working on what left to get done but its @Paul Emp project follow his workshop for its release and we have a AEGIS pvp dropship coming out too as another joint project, but that it for a bit guys i have a secret project im going to be working on that im very proud of today or tomorrow if im lucky
Today, i did an O2 test on the forward section of Achilles. It did not go well. The only O2 indicators were directly in front, below, above, behind, or beside the ventilator. I sealed of one room except for the ventilator. No change. i restarted the game. No change. I exited to Windows and restarted the game. No change. I rebooted the computer and restarted the game. NO CHANGE!! As always, I will appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.
AEGIS Civil cargo ship with detachable SV cargo pods with 1200 cargo boxes LOL( each pod carries 200 box)
Nice move! I've been thinking about something like that as well (function, not design, fewer boxes though) And those cargo things look awesome!
Getting o2 working in small spaces can be tricky. Partial blocks(half size blocks, doors, windows, etc) that are airtight count as full size blocks and will block air flow in small spaces. Look to see what else is around the ventilator that might block air flow.
I found what I guess were leaks thet i had overlooked thinking they would allow flow to other the areas. WRONG! Anyway, retests have been sucsessful. I had removed the crew from the bridge thinking they were sucking up too much air. Guess I can take them out of the locker and let them return to duty.
A few days ago my daughter decided she would try making a CV on the floor of our huge concrete-slab-base on Akua but she gave up when it started looking like a pile of blocks dumped on the floor. I told her it was much easier to build in space, and that I would make a quick "utilitarian" CV while "offline" to get up there with lots of building materials in crates and grow plots etc. So during the late evening following that I made a nice... CV, with lots of space to move and breathe, a nice garden, lots of cargo boxes filled with everything needed to build whatever we would want, etc. Of course, this does not look at all like a plain box, but when I showed her she was not impressed... But we had space and food and materials, so off to space we went. The stats for that beauty : Yesterday, when I asked my co-pilot if she wanted to play again, she said she wasn't very enthusiastic about our ugly CV, and she knew making one herself would be long. So there we stood in Akua's orbit, with the nice yellow box and no more motivation. This morning I loaded the saved game in singleplayer, used the console to give me Da Pawa with codes and modified the yellow box. Part of the challenge was that we saved the coop game with her inside the ship, and I couldn't move it because she would spawn in space on her next log in. I also didn't want to kill the plants so I made a "shell" outside to keep oxygen while changing the ship: It still has the same space, and I added 2 hangars (one on each side, doors facing rear) , and kept the overall "spacious" feel to it (I call it wasted space but...) : I also added a few thrusters with @rucky in mind, since we don't like flying bricks. Here are the stats for this modded thing : Very nimble indeed. Lots of shutter windows are hard to make into a nice shape, but the benefits show in speed and maneuverability. This version got her back in the game with a grin... (Note : the materials requirements in both stats pages are off by quite a margin since I modified all templates in my custom config file for this game. All hull blocks on the modified ship are reinforced steel, "top" half of the selection (1000 hp/block) since I will not go lower in hull strength, and shutter windows have 1200 hp. The floor is double layered.)
