yes i release them next week too. you will eventually laugh now, but i modified the transports again XD because the new thruster and the new blocks (the devs makes with the newer updates the construction for new content difficultier again and again) can you remember the "Warhammer" SV from alpha 6.0? .. i rebuilt them last week while ive seen, how much blueprints ive ever built. @.@ if i want to rebuild every blueprint, i dont know where to save this **** .. so much time i invest into the game and now every update would be better and better, brings more content, more blocks and the blueprints will be more into the unlimited darkside of my harddrive ...
I am flawed by on the internet and in real life, but I for one learned that people somehow see the internet as a place where they can do things unacceptable in society. While sometimes I enjoy roleplaying something I am not, as for my interactions on the internet, I try to abide by the same rules as I would otherwise. If I offend people, it is because I am flawed, not because I become some nasty ogre when I am somewhat anonymous. I try to be myself both on and off the internet. Spoiler: A ramble on votes and some wishes that will never be As for the downvotes, I understand some of the philosophies for downvoting, but I don't agree with them. I also disagree with upvoting everything. Personally, I would have rather some sort of 5 star system instead of like and dislike. That way I could say whether I thought it was average, 3 star. Rotten or foul, 1 star. Or outstanding, 5 star. With the up and downvotes, I only get three options, up, down or abstain, but only up or down votes actually affect the final rating. I would love to cast a 4 star vote sometimes, when I thought it was good but it didn't "wow" me. Instead I end up casting an upvote. Not a true representation of what I thought, but I only get the two options up or down. Others I abstain from voting I would have given a 2 or 2.5, as in seriously flawed but not yet rotten or foul. Of course, if I could actually assign a point rating, then that wouldn't be good enough for me. Then I would want a system by which I could monitor blueprints I previously rated. Did they change their blueprint? Would I want to reconsider that score? Even with the up and down votes, and even if I subscribe, I typically don't get notices if the blueprint is updated. I wouldn't want my notices on Steam to be cluttered with the updates everyone has made to blueprints I voted on, but when I come to the forums there is often indications of which threads have new posts and which are unchanged since I was last here. A page like that where I could see a list of everything I have voted on / subscribed to would be nice. And, I have yet to see anywhere a list of everything I have voted on. My only clue that I previously cast a vote on something is to actually find the item and then when I open the item page, only then will I see what my personal vote was. I have better things to do than to bookmark everything I vote on. Which is why I tend to upvote or abstain. I figure my odds are better that changes to a good design will still be good or even better. Changes to something I abstained from voting will probably make it better, but even if that blueprint now deserves an upvote at least I didn't leave a downvote there on something that I may never find again. As for downvoting, well, that might be best reserved for something offensive? As for the game, well, I have made some progress on my HV racer transport. Really liking how the exterior is coming along. Did a little texture work on the outside, but this is once that I feel like a whole lot less is far more. Even the little I did might have been too much, but so far I like it. Any busier and I don't think the exterior of the CV would fit in with the racer and the display. However, once I started working on the inside I hit another block. All it needs is texture work and paint job. Apparently, even that can come with a creative block.
Started work on new ship currently made of 3 pieces because of size limit after each piece done will use copy and paste to main bodu and will be done large scale builds are fun, size limit not so much
@Dead8Eye As i was just telling @Jenniphurr the other day, really like ships with such nice hull Details, wish i'd have such 'an eye and hand' for that. I just cant get 'over that mind barrier' when building my own ones, because i also like 'slipstreamed' ships, just if that wasnt obvious yet. @Damonicus1986 wow that sure is impressive already, and the 'details' look promising, sure gotta think big on this one! Other than that, I started working on a Scenario and wanted to add a custom planet. Got an error and thought i'd pimp it up a bit…
Getting ready to start updating all my previous workshop submissions for 8.x. It's a pity that my 7.x Omicron workshop save (with everything spawned) will not load. I guess I will have to make a new workshop file, farewell Omicron. We will sing songs of your parched planes and remember you.
That really is a shame @Robot Shark your challenge was a lot of fun and those save games where you'd gathered all the entries was almost like a major 'auto' show; really fun to wander around and look at all the cool stuff
The T4-Wasp went from being a toad to a prince. Before: After: Edit: I've uploaded it, here's a link: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1401146098
Been travelling around again so not much time for Empyrion but naturally getting back into it over the weekend. I've pretty much been finishing up and testing the stuff I built in preparation for the final A8 release and enjoying all the new features in between testing and building. I've also made a bulk backup on the Workshop and shared it all so here we go: Battlestar Ragnarok Spoiler: Pics https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1395965753 Cobra MkIII Spoiler: Pics https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1395966037 Raptor-C Spoiler: Pics https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1395966315 Helios Spoiler: Pics https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1400961226 Archades Spoiler: Pics https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1401019644 Outpost Spoiler: Pics https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1401020098 Now it's off to exploring a bit again, those spiders freaks me out (I really don't like spiders...) but, the Zirax patrols is an awesome idea. The future looks bright if things keeps on going like this!
Yep, and now I need to find a new planet with a wide, open, and mostly level space so I can make a new workshop save. For anyone still using 7.x, here is the "empty" workshop save I keep. It has 14 landing pads on Omicron with nothing else spawned. So now I start searching for a area large enough for me to make a new workshop save...
To place larger numbers of Blocks at a time efficiently, press & hold RMB on something with Blocks in hand, (Especially commonly Solid Cube Shape.) then drag it out a bit, then press & hold Left Ctrl to turn the Block Place Selection into a 'Plane' of Blocks. This will help ya a lot.
Heck, yes. I just don't build anything that big - or that finished - for myself. If the game had cinder blocks and blue tarps I'd be using those.
For the light SV I decided that the constructor has enough storage space, removed the cargo box, and added one more fuel tank... It also has 3 flight modes now... Spoiler: Pics
The heavier SV now has 2 more gatlings, 2 flight modes, and support for landing on the ground without docking... Spoiler: Pics
