The objective states "Check your surroundings due any anomaly" which doesn't really make much sense but I've checked my surroundings as far as the moon and it still hasn't completed. Not sure what exactly I'm supposed to do to trigger completion.
In this Scenario it makes sense, if you follow the Story line, hence playing this Scenario. I can't reproduce your stuck scenario. Everything works as intended. You just have to visit, well, the anomly outside..
I mean the wording doesn't make sense "due any anomaly". But yeah, I looted the chest there and then disassembled the thing for parts.
Ah I see... what would be a better wording for that task? If you looted the chest the Story should progress.
Either "Check your surroundings for any anomaly." or "Check your surroundings. Investigate any anomalies." would make a little more sense. I think I know where I went wrong now. When I first entered the game I turned off the power to the starting base to save fuel. I noticed there's a little sensor on the alien artifact so I'm assuming if the power was off that wouldn't trigger.
This maybe old and known.. but I just did this mission, and had the same issue after I looted the alien artifact. the issue was turning off the signal (possibly lights i turned both off before looting) I turned Signal (and lights) back on.. and went back to the Alien Artifact and it updated discovered right away. so this connects to those signals i think. I turned off all the lights and signals JUST LIKE YOU DID to SAVE POWER maybe a work around or warning on this one?
