This. I built one to see how long I could avoid building a BA. It turned out that there are enough wrecks and POIs that building a BA from scratch isn't necessary. The HV scanner is the hot setup for finding goodies.
I have finally finished up with my Atlas-X Carrier CV. Be sure to click the link below to check it out! Thanks to everyone for the support and feedback~ ZeroG Atlas-X: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1411004810

Our last game session was spent working on the base and scouting. I ran into a few bugs. Nothing major. Spoiler: Bugs Aside from that, we also enjoyed a radiated fog storm during the night. It was challenging, but I got a picture of the lightning. All the stars are obscured by the fog, but the nearest planet reflects enough light to be visible! I'll put my money on that being our snow planet, and the destination for our first Expedition. I love the radiated storm! It never happened to us during the Exp phase, but it was very dramatic and made this starter world even more interesting to me! I enjoyed past adventures on Akua, but our new star system is so exciting and intriguing. It's fabulous to have a temperate planet to call home, but I enjoy having more environmental hazards like this! It feels like the starter planet has a rich and exciting history, which adds a lot to the experience. It feels even more immersive than before. And the planets are so gorgeous! There's an incredible jungle near our base. The tall trees are very close together, and speeding between them with @Friendly Timo , on the starter HV he made with open cockpit and passenger seat, it reminded me of the speeder scene in Return of the Jedi. (I'm more Trekkie than a Star Wars fan, but I enjoy both.) Plus I love the name selecting feature for the planets and space playfields. The names of our planets all really fit together well, and I've seen some other sector maps displaying entirely different names that also went well together. One map I saw had planets with more aggressive sounding names, with a lot of K, V and Z letters in them, while ours have a bit of tendency toward U and most of the planet names end in a vowel. I wonder if those are just accidental goodness? I wouldn't expect the game can group names together like that, but it really worked out well for our new home star system. I'm already very attached to our new location in the Andromeda galaxy.
EDIT: I should explain. This is something I was testing after whipping it up in Blender. It's the same model placed 4 times in different rotation. The vessel in the middle is the Tier 1 CV for scale.
I looked at your Atlas-X Carrier CV and it's great as expected. I love him and look forward to using him in multiplayer. However, I noticed a small spot where a block seems to be missing. Spoiler: missing block? left front thruster:
I've been working sporadically on my Cylon Basestar. I think texturing is probably one of my least favorite things to do. A few shots of what I have so far. Still a lot left to do. Spoiler Engineering Hangar deck Throne for the Imperious Leader(ie cockpit)
Well, the results are really really good, so there's that. (the wrap you used on the cylinders in engineering is genius!)
I'm trying to work out a successor to my T4-Scimitar, which in turn was the successor for my T4-Albatros. This medium end line of SV's really has been the backbone of my SV fleet, and it's time to make one with exposed thrusters and a docking port.
Tonight I open a bottle of good Croatian wine and I raise my glass, Eleon, thank you for every minute I spent playing this game. In my 48 years of life I played them for thousands but this miracle of the game never dreamed that it would appear. I wish you a lot of success in life and work and to give us the final version of the game for thousands of hours of fun. Thanks to all my friends in the game, on all the servers I've ever played my favorite creator, rainyday and all the other designers who gave me the things which I love and make me happy. Thank you all in the forum, you are all my friends with whom I share love for this game. Thank you all for everything.
