Whenever I pick the Empyrion main game folder, I get - Stamps Folder cannot be initialized! Exiting.
Getting fixed maps to work in-game became too much an effort to hit a moving target so I cut back on the work until things stabilized a bit. The big pieces of 8.0 seem to be in place so I've returned to working on maps again. The system has changed so much that I will first have to find out if the game can even used fixed maps anymore.
Your Empyrion folder should have a 'Stamps' folder located inside the 'Content' folder. Are you using Empyrion Version 8.x Experimental? Can you please attach the epd.log found in <EPD folder>\logs here. /jmc

Does this folder exist on your drive: E:\Ruby's Reports\Fukushima's Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Content\Stamps\ Apparently EPD isn't finding it. Have you set your game branch to 'Experimental' on Steam? Otherwise you are still on Alpha 7.6 and this version of EPD doesn't work with Alpha 7 anymore. And then there is no 'stamps' folder. If not set to Expermiental branch, i would suggest just waiting for today's Alpha 8 public release. Then it should work anyways. Latest version should work fine with Alpha8 public, but I'm currently working on bugfixing the 'Space dynamic' playfields, refining the PreFlight log, bugfixing some cleaner routines, and reactivating (fixing the broken) trader config editor. Traders were broken since late Alpha 7. Will be still some days though, I guess. Some nasty bugs. /jmc
So I'm trying to use this to create a scenario and remove all the spiders from the game (I have crippling arachnophobia). I created my new sector in SSG, saved it as a scenario, then went through every playfield for the planets in EPD and removed the spider spawns. Now I get an internal error when I try to load... any idea why that might be happening? Also, do I only have to edit the playfield.yaml files, or should I also edit the playfield_debug.yaml files? Thanks for you hard work!
Could you please upload the playfield renamed to .txt here. I'll check it out. There's a chance, the playfield cleaner cleaned too much. I'm working on that atm. Depends on your workflow. EPD can work with the 'normal' playfield files only. Then you only have to edit the playfield.yaml exactly like it was in 7.6. But you can also create (and work with) the dynamic and static yamls in EPD to create the base files for further use with the SSG and create random scenarios like the default game in Empyrion. The debug files are only output of the SSG for the devs. No use in EPD, but you can also edit those and save them as 'normal' playfield.yamls. Basically there's no difference in debug and normal. /jmc

Hmm, looks fine for me on a first run. Flew around with godmode a bit and had no errors. If there was a playfield error, it should have come up at the loading screen already. Maybe there's something wrong with the terrain.ecf. Did you change that? I copied in the one from TemperateStarter. I tested with a quickly copied and modified version of Akua/Omicron Scenario. Tips for debugging: First Step: - Save your playfield in the content/playfields/yourplayfield/ - In the main menu of the game open console and enter: loadplayfield yourplayfield That loads the playfield fast, but terrain only, no pois, no creatures, no resources. fast check, if terrain is setup correctly. Second step: Create a copied version of akua/omicron and test with that to check creatures, pois, resources, ... E.g. the one I included here. Maybe that helps. /jmc

Do you have any antivirus software running? Maybe epd.exe or some dll file got removed by it due to false positive antivirus alert. Some builds can be identified false positively by antivirus software due to coincidental code similarites to harmful software. If so, the only thing that can be done, is to exclude the path you extract epd into, from your antivirus scan folders. /jmc
Hmm, haven't changed anything to description property since the beginning, I guess. What's the issue, excatly? It could be that description now works differently and I did not notice the change. But I did not read anything in the annoucements about the devs changing anything to description and how it works. /jmc
