I have a scenario that someone created in the Steam workshop that allows a start on Omicron type planet. You can't earn enough XP before your O2 runs out to make a survival constructor to make power cells for the emergency O2 generator. With only 5 ration packs, having enough food to last until you can build even a basic warp capable SV is unlikely.

I want to edit the planet data to generate a few plants, trees and so on to keep the character going until they can get off the planet.

As I am totally useless at editing a YAML file, (my last attempt crashed the game), I need a planet editor to add these things t that planet only without making any changes to the system data. I know there are a few tools to edit but can't find one for a specific planet.

Can someone point me in the right direction if there is one.
    Thanks.

Empyrion Playfield Designer is a pretty awesome one. It's linked in a sticky post on this very forum:

As always, back up your stuff before making changes. Even with the tool, it still requires some basic knowledge. I suggest looking at other playfields in their biomes to see how they have the plants set up and then doing a similar thing on the playfield you're using.

Yes, I saw that one and tried it but the resulting planet started locking up the system. Also, I couldn't find any creatures in the list when I tried to add some. I was trying to get the starter planet for the Martian scenario to look like Omicron with lakes and oranges along with worms and other 7.0 Omicron wildlife etc.

The vegetation was just square blocks of grassy areas rather than a random spread like a proper oasis.

I was hoping there would be a planet editor that a real beginner could understand. I didn't understand what most of the settings did, especially when the chance was 0 to 1 because I automatically put 20 in one of them instead of 0.2, thinking it was a percentage.
