Here are some more pics of my small Multi-Operation and Exploration Shuttle (SV). I made it two blocks longer to have more space inside the cockpit. Because sometimes i exited the pilot seat and was standing between the starbord hull and the seat itself. I could't leave this position, due to getting stuck. So i decided to remove the passenger seat and lower the pilot seat one block. I placed it in the middle, to have better access to it and avoiding to get stuck in the ceiling, if landed in another than horizontal way. I think that's why flat landing platforms are useful Because of the size of the warp engine, i had to create an exit at the cockpit. It doesn't look good, but fits its purpose. Note: the horizontal shutter serves as an observation platform and helps to launch the player drone. As you can notice: because of the longer corpus, the engine pods (with RCS's, generators, fuel tanks and warp tank) are now placed one block in direction of the back. So i can enter and exit the cockpit in a more comfortable way. And there are less radiaton and heat issues due to exposure of the generators to air or space and no direct contact to the cabin. I thought about to cover the tanks and generators with some nice looking hull. But it would make the pods very bulky in relation of the overall size of the vessel. What do you think obout this?
Within the last 14 days i installed a short range warp drive to my small Shuttle and visited distant planets, which was really cool! I searched for deposits of some ores i needed and discovered them soon. I even found some space stations, which are designed very well and i like the functionality of the interior very much. I bought some autominer cores and built one autominer for every kind of ore I need and placed them on my home planet, its moon and one lava planet. On the lava planet i had some fights with the local fauna. The front cannon was not of that much use against them, becuse of the limited agility of the shuttle. But i figured out, that i can deal with them in another way, without additional equipment (won't mention it here, because of spoiler). Later i even found out, that i wouldn't have to fight with them anyway, if i wanted to avoid battles of this kind and still doing my work on the surface. Now i have more ressources, than i ever had (and probably ever would need).
Majority of the decorating and furnishing is complete on the cruise ship Still 1 or 2 rooms to spruce up, just furnished and sensor rigged 25 individual cabin quarters across 3 decks. Added a wetpool room in the hold, ocean diving from here I cant be bothered to take the 700 pics it would probably take to show this ship off, so I am considering just making a walkthrough video. Lets list what rooms it does have 24 cabin quarters bridge balroom theatre restaurant dining room with dual kitchens. 3 bathrooms 2 changing rooms for the exterior pool area several rooms just laid out as chill areas. a few rood spaces with seating, landing pad, twin mini pools.
Ok made a video run through to save taking loads of pics. Introducing the Caribbean Princess (named after construction and not meant to resemble the real Caribbean Princess in any way) EDIT: not finished btw
This shows, to me, a completely different angle on game play. Obviously we can't script the NPCs yet but it sure would be cool to add some real customized functionality to this. But also the art in it, it looks like a different game LOL! Crazy work
Your ship is beautiful .... It is to be seen that the construction of this ship is the real treasure of your time ... wonderful work ... I am very much looking forward to the ship... Super video
Nexus Update: Getting close to being finished(I think). I updated a whole bunch of stuff today. Just need to populate the casino with npcs and finish this one section I'm currently working on redoing. It's a part of the corner spires. It's a two level area above the luxury suites. Spoiler I extended the monorail stations so you can just walk up into the upper level of this area. Spoiler It's kind of an awkward space and I'm not sure what to do with it yet. Spoiler
@Siege Inc. With that space? Assuming thats near the monorail station -> Sourvenir-, Shops, Restaurant, Resting area, Smoker room, a small garden... lots of options EDIT: Oh or a small maintainenace room… like a janitors Office or something? EDIT 2: Public toilets anywhere yet?
I'm a perv guy…. First.. I rub all day long at the Bottom: Spoiler 'before' 'after' Then… it gets bigger: Spoiler Then i went Deep inside and enjoyed the curves: Spoiler Last but not least i've also finaly udpated these CV's for Alpha 8: Magellan Magellan (Survival Edition) Seraphim Carrier VCA -=Sephrajin Carrier=- (size class reduced by 5 - ripped those 500+ weapons away, 'just' 80 now ) And while i was on it, i removed the T2 drills of the Maglean Drill (hover, lvl20) and saved it as "Maglean Drill (starter)" (lvl 5)
Because I dislike drone attacks and also because I'm planning on using console to spawn in a patrol vessel base, I made some artful defence installations. Argentspire Defence I admit, the flat surfaces could do with some more ribbing, and maybe some asymmetric elements. Then, I managed to find, within about 1km diameter, a promethium, magnesium, zacosium and estreum deposit on the next planet over. So I started the factory churning on the Paradigm City, because nasty superhot atmosphere is no good. But now I have a place to start my next colony...
As the outer hull of my new ship seems to be completely finished now, I want to present my biggest project so far. According to my screenshots folder, I started around the start of May, so it will be 3 months soon XD My previous capital ship (the large grey one in the pictures) was limited in hangar space for my SVs and HVs. Since I do not like stationary bases, I attempted to design a capital ship that could hold all my current ships as well as any and all future ships. The result was a massive carrier (currently named Phoenix) which has a full armament but can hold extreme amounts of SVs and HVs. It has 10 decks with upwards of 200 rooms (I only created deck plans for 2 decks as of yet, so I am not sure exactly). Obviously several of those are empty, but most of them serve a function that would make sense in a real carrier. While designing the outer frame, I mayyyy have underestimated how much space would be left outside of the hangar that would have to be filled with rooms but like I said, most serve a useful function. As I've said, the Phoenix has a lot of internal hangar space, but it also has several docking ports on it's outside. In the following pictures, two CVs and two SVs are docked outside. The Phoenix and the Agamemnon (the big grey one) are docked by a docking conduit SV so as to allow going from one ship to another without having to use a jetpack. The yellow-bordered hatches are for easily deployed escape pods. The following pictures show the internal hangar space with 12 large separated segments for SVs aswell as a large HV area with three levels (only two can be seen here, there is an additional ramp under the big ramp in the back of the picture). I will post more pictures of various rooms and additional angles later. Comments would be very welcome
Are you absolutely sure you want to make the bottom this flat? I don't think any amount of detailing can stop that from looking kinda hideous.
I had shops/restaurants there but I was giving thought to what else I could do with the space. I did rework the structure so you can go up or down the stairs to either level.
Kinda… It is a 4 blocks height flatness and even 5 to 8'ish if you take the upwards 'waving-wings'. Issue is, 'in the end' it shall be possible to park HV's if the CV parks on a moon or something, thus it needs a 'flat' Underground. Also, it is a partial attempt to get some 'riffles', as in the end it should look like a sea animal. EDIT: @LeVentNoir Looks like my ERA branded ships in turkoise rather than orange.. I like it! And i see… uhm.. Kaeser or Kieves building in the back.. nice mods too!
It's supposed to look like those buildings, as I've gotten the entire line into my survival game now, including my Quad Refinery. Now I can really start churning the game and getting my WarEagle-MK8.
Its been a few weeks but minor break from building. I have been spending most my time working on server PDA stuff. Got the itch to upload something and decided to work more on my Cerberus-X CV. I have been working on this off and off for what seems like an eternity now but I finally am in the final stretch of the build. I really love this ship each generation of it I always loved more and more. With Cerberus-X I tried to push my building to the max. Is it perfect? No, but it has been very enjoyable to work on. Anyways screenie time!
some days ago i felt in love with this Artwork from Maksilerator: (give him a Tumps up if you like it!) https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/921420232672992471/F62D4615A95809CB066008DED66C7A333E2CD384/?interpolation=lanczos-none&output-format=jpeg&output-quality=95&fit=inside|1920:* I simply had o try my hands on it. The outside is nearly finished now, mostly texture work has to be done there. Spoiler: more previews the Personal entry and HV Bay (5x3) the SV Bay (7x5) on Top are the Living area, Kitchen, Medicstation and Constructors. Windows got shutters for extra protection This need lots more work, i keep you updated...
Recommend it. I started a walkabout a few days ago. Though I decided I can use anything I can make or find, I can only keep what I can carry. No bike and no permanent base. So I can set up enough base to run a constructor (ammo) and food processor (meds), then it's multitooled back basic components. I'm now in the last stage of revealing the entire map. It's been a trip... despite the patrols.
