Not sure if it is the right place to ask for a feature but here it goes. Now that we have a new tool SSG to create solar systems and be able to modify the files to create our own scenarios, a new need occurs. If the player/builder creates a scenario with numerous planets the warp navigation gets difficult. The photos below shows an example of my point.

I would like to ask the possibility to feature warp points path where the player can plot a path on the sector map and then navigate jumping through points without the need to open a map and assign destination with the lock target. The sector map can get messy easily. Even though there are options about viewing angles according to XZ, ZYX, XY etc those are not enough. Navigation through the sector would help for long range final destinations. Thank you.

My thanks to you. May I ask about the SSG, whether or not is it going to be and internal tool in the game like Creative Mode is? If yes is it going to be easier to load the created scenario or sector, so to say, for testing purposes.

If not this happen and remain as it is now, is there going to be any change so the player will have somehow the ability to test created playfields as if from inside the game?

My idea as I imagine it is a special window that has two parts, on the left part the map and on the right the 3D viewport like like it is inside the game, but by clicking the map on the left the player can teleport on the relevant position and see on the right 3D viewport the area.

    Hello,

I'd like to ask for some help. I'm trying something simple, since I'm not into editing a whole scenario for a custom story or nothing like it. I read the manual and tried to test the sector window properties, like the System Population window, but nothing seems to work. I'm just trying to create a system to play with.

    What I wish to accomplish:
    - I'd like to create a system where I can start in a different type of planet from Temperate; like starting in a snow planet or a desert planet. Then, I'd like to upload this "savegame" into a dedicated server and use it there.
    - As a test, I'm trying to create a system where all planets are purple "Alien" planet types, just to try understanding the SSG.

    What I'm getting:

    - I do as stated in the manual, starting SSG, going in the SECTOR tab, adding a a seed and pressing GENERATE to begin. For this test, I'm using seed number "0". It always generates the same system: a crystal shaped one with Coppasi icy planet in it (just a reference for us here). Then I go into system population tab and put zeros in all values to restrict planet types, leaving "10" at the minimum and maximum values for Alien planet. Nothing seems to change. In order to bring changes into effect, I press GENERATE again... the screen reloads, but the same old system is there (crystal shaped, with various planet types and icy Coppasi planet there).

What am I missing here? How can I produce this "savegame" and how can I upload it into a dedicated server? How can I set players to begin in another planet type other than TEMPERATE?

    Thanks for your help.

Man, I really can't get any results like these. In fact, all my efforts in SSG and I always end up with something like a pre-made solar system, anything near these custom generated ones. How did you manage to create this full of planets solar system??? I think I'm doing something wrong, since I can't get any results different from a pre-made seed generated system. Point me at the right direction to learn, please! :) Note: I've read the manual, but I still can't make custom solar systems.

You have to change the number of planets in the .yaml file you use to create the solar system.

    I will try this... thanks.

What about setting a different starting planet?

You said you did read the pdf of the SSG.All the information is there in the first place but you don't see it. Spend enough time to get familiar with the SSG. Everything is in front of you...I can not force your eyes to look what you need to. Look, do not just see.Be thorough. It is not window shopping.

I've seen - and messed a bit - with this screen and option before. The thing is every time I set this "Player Start" option, it returns to default value and the option isn't saved, allowing me not to make a different starting planet. I did not write this post here to have someone forcing my eyes doing their job, but just because things are not happening as they're supposed to happen, as stated in the PDF... And that's what the forum is for, isn't it? So I came here asking for help to see if I've missed anything. But thanks anyway for your time. I guess I'm going to figure out for myself.
