Is there a way to fake a non-landable planet that looks a bit like a gas giant? I understand you can make a planet to disallow CV or SV approach, so first step done! But actually making it look a bit more... Mmmm, well... Gassy? I appreciate your thoughts!
I have not tried myself but I'd imagine making the planet completely flat and use some texture that look as close to a "gas" planet as you can. Maybe make use of water?
Pretty good! And as far as an 'alien' solar system it might just do... Could I have the yaml for this? I will give you full credits for it... PS: Better if it was yellowish.. But it's great anyway!
Coming late to this thread... - Had this one in WIP state some time, it's better than having nothing to choose. It's faking the clouds, using biomes. You can change the colours by recolouring the terrain with the texture editor. - Class 5. No stamps at all, so this should work with any multiplayer. - Have fun! (Playfield hasn't the disallow SV/CV yet, needs to be edited in first.)
I just checked out that gas giant zip file. @Needleship included the static and dynamic files as well for use in random scenarios! #ThankYou
Very nice, maybe with a terrain indescriptible and a highly temperature of/and radiation so if player come, is with risk I can wait for test.
Wanted to let you know I'm including these in the next update of my scenario. For working within the current limitations of the game, they are wonderful!
