Sorry it took me a while to reply. I was distracted by other games.... Some things have their full bounding box. I might suggest trying the forcefields. I have successfully had a CV pass through a forcefield. Of course, devs may always change things in the future. Personally, no sample on the workshop but I might have a picture from some experimenting I have done. These are some images of a base I have been working on for some time. Both pics included because the first version was scrapped. When I first built the base, I had no vision in my head of building a "tall" CV that small. While in the screenshot, you can see that I did manage to land that CV by going through the top grouping of forcefields, I realized that the placement of the pilot seat made it very hard to do. So I opted for a more open design where the forcefields would only overlap the bottom of the parked CV. Bonus on the second build is that the smaller space enclosed by forcefields means I will need a lot less O2 to have an air bubble there where as the large box consumed a lot of O2 as such. I believe I had tested shutting off the CV O2 systems within there and still having O2 from the base, but that was a while ago when I was testing out the concept. I believe this is another bounding box issue. Ironically, just before they released the retractable turrets, I built a CV with hidden turrets. I have seen CV that use standard shutter doors to hide the turrets and I had to wonder if they were playing a different game than I was, because I ran a test and noticed that my turrets never fired through the space of the shutter doors, but they would fire through the space of the ramp blocks I had hiding my turrets, so I removed those shutter doors from the final. Now, this I do have a sample online, the Mallard CV--complete with a sample of the signal logic I used (edit). https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1467437841 [edit: realized that I should show the ramps closed for perspective...]
I think this is the real reason I have been playing other games the past few weeks. The vision was there of what I needed to attempt, but it was going to be the hardest bit of LCD work I have ever done. By playing other games, I was avoiding the challenge. Should be easier from here out to finish this up and get it ready for the workshop.
It seems to be a very nice built and I love the idea of a POI sitting in a Lava-Lake! Great overall texturing too
As all are now following @Hummel-o-War and what he reveals of the up-coming A9.0 stuff...#metoo# I have time to show my approach to build a Base on the Swamp Planet. Not without a few starting problems...building, as always first a defense perimeter of Towers. New Marker shows where the entrance of the Cliff Base will be While the Rados Patrol Vessel circles about 1.5km away ..over those Cliffs in the Distance not daring to come into firing Range.. ...while Drone Wave after Drone Wave is rolling in to protect 3 POIs, including the Warrior Temple just around the corner to the right and quite near to my Position.
A Cerberus-X! I hope she is serving you well! Also really loving the play by play on your approach to that poi.
maybe the frog considering what it looks like from there tho you would have to paint it green of course ..... i would like to say my jokes get better throughout the day but lets be honest that was the best it really ever gets .......
Started work on a research base / science centre base : Stormy dark weather adds to its sinister purpose! front: Lab1: lab2: Adjoining office and meeting area: Landing pad - lights at the front blink red: Yet to be finished 3rd lab and control room on the top - also the generators and fuel tanks will be moved to another floor:
Awesome stuff you guys did in that month! Endphase reached… starting to finalize Details... such as Floor markings for HV's and more Spoiler: Stucking Disco and other images
If anyone liked the Rio 330 I made some months back, you will love the Rio Grande 500. The Rio Grande ships in 2 versions, with or without the weapon roof rack which houses 1 turret and 2 fixed weapons purely for defensive purpose. both versions are combat steel. (pictured, rio 330 and rio 500 armed) Releases later today or tomorrow.
Cliff Base has reached, so far, some visual effects in the entrance area. As I was dumb enough digging a trench towards the new base I now had to fill it up with something that I did not intend to do... Air Intake The Base inside the Cliff seen in GM No SI Problems as long as I built the Roof BEFORE I dig all out Entrance almost finished state
