Was planning on just playing today, but.... after starting a new seed i found that i was lacking a cheap starter SV with the new logistic-system in place. So yeah... i made one from scratch and per my obsession of recognition from my peers, i have to put it out on the workshop and post about it here  NSI Excursor Workshop-link: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1616132240 And it fits perfectly on the pad in my starter base Back to game to most likely upgrade or make a new HV for some old-school mining
Today I started a new Survival game, and added a side hangar to my micro CV build. I will say it again, I wish there was a 2x4 hangar door, but I think this also works. I would also like to congratulate @Kahrek for making the front page with his build for the challenge.
So with the practical experience from the Flatline Carrier, I was eager to try a CV of my prefered size. I'm trying to go for an elegant Carrier (also the first time), for which i've chosen my 'ERA' brand as a 'base'. This said, ist a big sluggish thing, with several weapons for defense. Just finished the rough outlines of the Hangar decoration wise, all other functions but med bay (which does not require cpu) have been set/put in place. It's using 7500/7500 and it is 198 x 130 x 46m. Spoiler: Images
Today I woke up with my faction gone, base set to public and my own SV being replaced with some whole other one.. On a more positive note, nothing was stolen from my public base, and I managed to spawn my CV. I decided to go out and park next to the orbital station for the time being. That's... Definitely a space station. I nearly froze to death trying to get this shot of my ship docked to one of the ports.. Maybe they should sell some EVA boosters in there, the shops have an atrocious selection if you ask me.
Just a little heads up, as you seen in my 'previous' post, it now (2099) is possible to build a decent sized CV with 'everything' and stay below the 7500 cpu, if you plan properly, and are willing to live with some 'drawbacks'. Looks very promising, i'd put it in the star trek univerese by ist shape. Love it already!
I'm probably won't finish it in the near future anyways, i just create ships and shapes when i get inspired. (There's no point in "completing" any design as long as there aren't even all ship systems introduced in EGS yet.) I'm glad you like it! I'm not so sure, if i make it a Starfleet Ship or not, tbh. On one side i really don't want aynthing to do with Star trek anymore, at least its newest versions. If i would finish and release it, people would imidiately associated it with that new Star Trek crap people play/watch lately. But on the other hand, i really love the aesthetics of Starfleet ships. I think it could go as a non Star Trek ship, depending on the Nacelles i put on. Or i'll treat it as belonging to some alternate timeline. We'll see.
What is it you don't like about it ? I thought the modern version was way better then the old series. (not talking about the movie versions) --- Alltough i'm still feeling stuck with updating my stuff, i'm allready doing some, allthough without volume/weight/CPU in mind. Mostly rearranging thrusters (so they are not hidden), and some redesigning in form aswell. Like the Dark Hopper for one has been given a new visage : Normal steel warp SV for max 3 ppl, adjusted with a hatch where one has to "hop" and promptly spawn the drone out, so you can safely hand(drone)drill those rare mats. Another iteration to its name one might say, lol. Another visage rework i did a while ago was the Time Frogger : Armored steel trooptransport warp SV is its purpose for max 9 ppl. But i just know everything is going to be f****d once the full implementation of said volume/weight/CPU hits us. I haven't played for long since around 1 year now in a full game sense, cuz the friend i played with dropped the game. Not counting the couple games i dropped soon after, cuz several different reasons. All i can do is dabble in creative from time to time, if time to play permits me.
We can always keep our beloved memories from the good (not so) old ST TNG, or Voyager. Then not make it Star Trek, but make it 'Orwell' *duck and covers* (edit: not the novel, but the series)
