Just a remind. With current game mechanics for load and caching, any scenario with many playfields gets slower to load and copy as the player visits more and more playfields. I have managed to visit around 100 playfields and with the game in SSD (Samsung 850 Pro) it takes around a minute to copy as a backup measure the saved game. Not to mention the time it takes to load a non cached game, which takes longer then the copy time.

It was back when they implemented DSL that increased structure loading performance. They mentioned that 9.0 and beyond would be increasing the performance of everything else including total playfields.
Looks like they added the ability to use the random solar system generator with scenarios in this latest update which is exactly what I'm building this scenario for. this change will also greatly lower the file size and stop me from bumping up against the 100mb workshop upload limit.
New teaser video of Dead class planets: I intentionally left out some of the major POIs from this video this time around so they can still be a surprise for survivalists to find. Dead planets suffered some kind of catastrophic event in their distant past, rendering all life on the planet extinct. Ruins of a technologically advanced civilization can be found here, providing ample opportunity for salvage for any willing to do the work. Dead planets may contain the wreckage of small vessels that can be rebuilt and flown again and have been outfitted for unique roles, such as planetary mining or long-term space exploration. Hopefully they are planets that are encouraging and rewarding to visit and explore. Spoiler: More pictures
I know your big new thing is the dead planet but that plasma planet.... wow. I mean, I think that might be the coolest thing I have seen in this game yet. Shame on me for missing it until now. I wonder if we could get that officially added to the game with the Abyssal... hmmmm...
Masterpiece, just as your 'plasma planets' - you are making planets that I like, NO GRASS AT ALL Can't wait for your Galaxy to play with, and can't wait for @EleonGameStudios to finally introduce 'sun orbit' playfield (well multi-star system) so that you can put different colored suns for full space & planetary lunacy ... couple of suggestions - nice dead underground mines & 'fallout' compounds - on this type of 'dead planets' one of the best visual addition could also be destroyed 'monorail' transport system - light for people & heavy for cargo, and segments could be randomly everywhere (or to be in-line with some similar coordinate) - but it would look like it was all part of a 'old massive planetary system' and those elements you could make easily - you just need some high pillars - dont know if you tried it already, but you can make very impressive 'dead' & abandoned Spaceport by adding whole (modified) Capital ship on top of some intricate landing & loading pad, or shipyard BTW are you interested and can you make some real 'Ice planets' in the future, not like current 'snow planets' with grass & trees - something billions years old & cranky
Oh yes to all of that! Ice giants and dwarves are something I want to add. I'm going to put in a few bunkers on these planets, complete with some bits of story in the personal logs of the individuals who tried to survive in them. Going to keep the cause of the cataclysm vague because I think it's creepier that way. you might find out later on that they tie in to one of the main stories, however I haven't got that far yet.
