I've created a base that is illuminated by lights around the edge of the pad. As this is just an outpost, there is no need for the lights to be on when I'm not there. I can place a motion sensor to illuminate the lights when my ship approaches and I originally thought to place a cut-off switch inside the base but I can't seem to make that work. I know you can place additional circuits but I can't find any reference to what they do. Anyone point me to an explanation of the 'add circuits' list?

the logic circuits do act like IC chips / logic gates. Actually there are tutorials for minecrafts redstone circuits that would teach you everything you'd need here :-D
