well this bug gets really interesting now:
i couldn't get rid of this thing, so i tried to drive away (about 1000 meters) so that the dsl unloads my sv. Then i drove back and the bug was gone. at least, i thought it was gone.
Now i was driving around, seeing a green thing glowing the dark, driving to it, and found it again. Just in the middle of nowhere.

    Hi,

    Please examine this saved game.

In it, you're sat in my SV. Go external view and look to the right, you'll see a green artefact. This screenshot should help explain it:

    Survival - 9.4.0 1175_2019-02-14_01-26-05.png

This artefact first appeared earlier in this game when I placed an SV starter block. For some reason, despite me just having ONE such block, the game placed two, one on top of the other. I did a save / reload at this point and the second one vanished, leaving just the original.

However, as I've been flying around I regularly see these green 3x3 (small block) outlines all over the place. I assumed this was just line the weird floating POI parts bug, that doesn't survive a save / reload cycle. However, this one does...at least for me. Check it out.

I get this when I spawn things in from the factory I get a duplicate ghost, reload the game and its gone. Then latter while flying around I see green spawn boxes. Also get bits of bases appear in the air sometimes there sometimes not. PS This is not drug related Lol .

That makes sense. I'm guessing that placing a Starter Block is very much like spawning in a Blueprint from a how it works under the hood perspective. It's rare for things like this to persist after a save / reload cycle though, so hopefully my saved game will be of use. I'm seeing these green ghostly 3x3 squares all over the place in my game, and not just on the planet, but in space too.

Summary: Blueprint ghost does not go away after spawning

    Description:
Games were started in 9.2 and 9.3, I am currently running 9.4.

It happened several times, and in multiple games.

I select a new starter block or a blueprint, once I click to place them in the game world the green-highlighted objects do not disappear but stay there. They are not solid and things can traverse the blocks or be placed in the same space.

It happens occasionally and I have no idea what might be the trigger.

quit & resume fixes the issue (the ghost is not there anymore)

    Steps to Reproduce:
    - spawn a blueprint or a starter block

I get this , if you spawn a SV and it ghosts then you fly the solid copy around the ghost pops in every now and then just the green outline. But as you say if you restart it goes away.

I am afraid i cannot see any artefacts when loading your savegame :(

Can you quantify the issue? like how often x out of 10 times does this happen?

My daughter had 3 green blocks following her around last night 1 for each of 3 sv spawned. This on Shattered Realm test server.

I got this when I placed the Base Starter Block into the ACTIVE Slot of the VT from a Container. The Game immediately placed it on the ground even if I did not actual place it. I opened with F4 the Connection again and moved the Starter Block to a NON-Active Slot - viola . The Block, even if not being placed, re occurs every 100 m floating along your flight path in the Air as a hollow green Block. Its a Ghost.

Please maybe do, as i cannot reproduce it on my end at the moment. Seems to happen very randomly and without a real usecase for a reproduction.

@Germanicus > Thx, this has actually helped to find a repro case. The issue happens if you have a preview (BP or Starter) on the screen and then disconnect from the container without placing the preview.

I'm glad that helped reproduce it, and doing it via a remotely connected hotbar is a factor. I simply selected the starter block, placed it and a second starter block appeared on top of it - at no time did I leave the linked inventory. It was only later that I spotted the odd artefact, which appeared to be the green outline of the starter block. Still, it sounds like the same issue.

It still persists in my game each time I load, so it's odd you can't reproduce it. I'll keep an eye on it, perhaps it'll disappear eventually.

While watching @XCaliber streaming yesterday I noticed that, when he placed the CV-Starter Block on the Ground, it stayed glowing, even when standing on top of it. Also the GREEN Ghost image can be seen when he flies around.

Link to his YT upload ->

    watch at 3:00:00 - placing CV-Starter Block
at 4:56:40 - you can see the GHOST floating in the background

This just happened to me with an HV BP.

I quit the game while the blueprint was in progress. Then I started up the game again the next day (a little while ago) and the BP finished after a few minutes. When I spawned it this happened:

    Empyrion_2019-02-18_04-06-42.jpg
After getting in and moving it:

    Empyrion_2019-02-18_04-09-09.jpg

This is just a regular single player survival game.

Maybe it happened because the BP was still being produced when I loaded the game? I didn't do anything else after loading but make food items.

I'm building a mobile base in orbit and went up to put the base block down along with an initial line of blocks to set up the basic shape. This was done with a linked toolbar to the ship and block types were limited to light steel and a few deco blocks (shrubs- doing a repro of existing structure)

The green bounding box didn't disappear after placing the block and made it appear that blocks I tried to remove with the multitool were still there. I landed and returned to orbit and the playfield reset cleared the problem and the blocks I'd tried to pickup earlier had been grabbed.
