You found my problem. I tried several Blocks but non would fit. There is no transitional Block between round Pillars (or I am too dumb to find it)
Built an inspired new warp SV, landed on a nice island on an ocean world, and built myself a beach house, all minimal and simple. Just about done with it, really wanting some more decorative things, but I’ll manage.
You might try the double shortend long slope block. Or just let the ceiling be flat for the colums, and make it higher 'between the walls'. hth

I thought the Liberty Cruisers looked cool...so now I've embarked on a quest to build one in Empyrion...here's where my efforts have gotten so far.
Greetings from the beach! Spent the day wandering, discovering and just enjoying surviving. And what did I discover? Seems these guys are alive and well! Hope they stay that way, it was an amazing discovery! Well worth the damage!
Just because I might choose to play a certain way does mean I think the game should force players to follow the same pattern. On my current survival game, I have been trying to unlock everything for a BP before I spawn it from the BP Factory. So anything I have unlocked for a base is only because it crosses over into the trees I have been unlocking as I struggle to go from HV -> SV -> CV. My personal favorite starting HV unlocks at level 5. I had nearly everything unlocked for that HV by then. Now enough such as O2 and armor stations crossed over to SV that I had everything for that by level 7. However, I didn't have the resources to spawn my SV until level 9. Now I am working on CV unlocks. Yes, I expanded on the starting base they just handed to me through following the protocol. I attached a generator and fuel tank because even with the extra solar panels the base couldn't keep up with the power demands of the constructors I added. This also gave me a great place to add a large storage box to stash what can't fit in the vessels, freeing up space to go get more resources. Well, my target initial CV may have an unlock of level 10, I am still short many unlocks. Granted, I am nowhere near having the resources for a CV. As for my accomplishment today, I made my first venture out into space with my SV. A quick check of my map revealed that I would have to fly around the planet to find my target, the moon. I was half way to the moon when I realized that I had spare O2 and a couple power cells, but I forgot to pack myself any dinner for the trip. Oh, well. When I got there and found a cobalt deposit, I would discover that I had only brought a couple fuel canisters for the drill too. At least it was enough to get what I needed before heading back to the shelter.
I didn't do much the past few days due to being sick, but hopefully I feel up to being creative today! I did take a nice picture of the Ice planet:
Landed on my temperate starter planet's moon for the first time and saw this: Just for a moment I got a vague idea of what the Apollo 8 astronauts experienced: As Colonel Frank Borman (Apollo 8 Mission Commander) put it: It was the most beautiful, heart-catching sight of my life, one that sent a torrent of nostalgia, of sheer homesickness, surging through me. It was the only thing in space that had any color to it. Everything else was either black or white. But not the Earth. I guess in my case the pentaxid was in color , but otherwise, I (just for a moment) understood at a gut level what those Apollo guys experienced...far away from home in a hostile environment. I am really enjoying this game for the "you are there" feel I get from it. You guys/gals at Eleon, please keep up the good work!
Began slowly rebuilding my solarsystemconfig.yaml file for my scenario. From scratch. Probably going to be over 1500 lines long once I'm done.
As mentioned before I had to make a decision where I would built up a larger Base for Works on the AUGUSTUS. I pushed that decision further in front of me by starting to strip the Planet bare of Resources, even buying off Stuff from the Polaris Traders. Made also a new Creative Game to correct small errors which I made in Survival produced BPs. Provided at least a nice Group shot of my Roman Building.
The most "comfy" Place I can think of is the EYE OF THE DESERT-Base and the most advanced. So I will settle here and built up the Area with Roman Lifestyle. Rome(Home)- Sweet Home!
Finished the shell (including thrusters and weapons ) on my Liberty Siege Cruiser. The aft gave me a bit of trouble, but I think I've replicated the spirit of the design at least. Now to lay down the interior decking.
It's not yet painted and still has a bit of work to go, but it's a fully functional space-station base:
The song "Working in a Coal Mine, Ding, Ding!" springs to my mind while digging out my Sub Terran Level of the Base... so far, so good.
