Only had a couple hours tonight to work on my Abandoned Tomb. It's coming along nicely. Being sick for a couple days set me back a bit. Full of puzzles. And secrets. And puzzles within secrets. Within puzzles. Can you solve this puzzle? This bridge is safe to cross. Honest! Jump from pillar to pillar while avoiding balista bolts! A shortcut back to the upper levels, just in case: Is it all worth it? The Talon might pay you handsomely for the return of their ancient relics, but what else can you find in this place? Too bad this strange red guy stands in your way:
I decided to publish the Watch Tower I was working on earlier. I also started on a large CV, then scrapped it. I have such a hard time with large builds. <sigh>
Same here. With large Bases I have no troubles at all, but as soon as I try myself on large Vessels I am running fast out of steam and sit there with a large...something..
Okay. Stayed up waaaaay later than I should have with having work tomorrow, but I had to play around with making my first "new" wreck for space, and testing out spawning them as compounds. I think this has the potential to look very cool. Imagine flying around and randomly encountering a bunch of wreckage like this. Could give some things to explore in space. Some might have special loot with admin cores, some might be trapped, and some might even have some enemies lying in wait.
After yesterdays "Drill-Session" I did today only minor works on the Base. Such as the Garden Area, by raising the position of the Solar-Panels I got a space with Nature in Place and a small Shrine... for Meditation and Prayers. Than I connected the Pyramid and the Greenhouse. Also texturing of the Pyramid and placing the Pillars. Also a Ram to be able to enter/exit the Base with a HV. Some lights, Spots and Effects of passive Lights. Still a lot of Work to be done.. Night Pictures help to determine if passive Lights work well:
At least ALL (round) Pillars are now textured...including the Framing of the Pyramid. Here a few Daytime pictures of what I was writing in my previous posting. Oh, and as daylight was gone... some night pictures again The Garden with the Shrine Landing Pad upper level Landing Pad lower level And at last a view to the Top of the Pyramid
I've pretty much finished the Liberty Siege Cruiser. Frustratingly, it seems that every time I am in the back half of the CV, my computer becomes unstable and I get a blue screen error. Not sure what's causing it (working on updating my graphics drivers atm). I wanted to get it down to Size Class 5, but due the issues with my computer crashing, I haven't had the chance to do so, so it's currently Size Class 6. I really love the emissive textures. They're great for highlights. I included a small hangar with constructors and cargo storage (using a single CC with CE hidden beneath the deck). The medbay is also visible above the constructors through the windows. Entertainment deck (I'm pretty happy with how the bar turned out) Crew quarters (I think there's berths for 30 or so crew) Mess hall (with a few of the 32 farm plots in the background) Note shown are the bridge, various engineering spaces, airlocks with decontamination showers, atrium, crew restroom and shower facilities, or the captain's quarters. Overall, I'm really happy with how this turned out (other than the blue screen of death issues, of course). If I can manage to fix the issue with the CV crashing my computer, I'll make the blueprint public on the workshop and share it here.
I decided to play around with an old single-drill miner I made when the drill's first came out. The new blocks & devices defiantly make a difference.
I managed to figure out why my computer was blue screening...my graphics card kept overheating. Since it's not an issue with the game itself, I'll go ahead and make the blueprint for my Liberty Siege Cruiser CV public: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1685890629
been pumping out small builds mostly cuz im out of ideas lol im going to try some more later after xcals challenge here in 6 days (23rd) for now im off to survival.
Most of my starter SV are designed without any cobalt, but ready for installation of warp drive and constructors. After my trip to the moon, I got back and found out I was short iron to build all the add-ons for my next trip with the SV. So it took me a bit of running around with my HV to before I was able to complete these upgrades. I wanted to find neodymium and sathium for my first CV. Ironically, the next two planets I jumped to had gold deposits and were temperate, but no neodymium or sathium. I did find some decent pentaxid crystals on the moons at least. So I tried going the opposite direction of the starting world, which took me to Senekei. For a moment, I was panicked that it was same thing. There was no gold asteroids listed for orbit, so I took a moment to try the snow planet there. Success! So my first trip is for neodymium. I think I filled in all the cracks on the SV with the ore. Granted, while this SV was built as a starting SV and for this purpose, I will admit that it really might be more of a light combat fighter. Well, a sort of big and heavy variant for a starting SV. Once I get the CV and a better BA, I was planning to actually test the SV against a few of the lighter POI, see how well it holds up beyond just taking on that heavy drone I found on this journey to other worlds.
Sometimes I find myself filling even Ammo-Boxes and Fridges with Stuff that does not fit into CC's anymore
