A little Project of mine, that started back in alpha 7. The MX3 Hornet, a small Fighter ( fits on 3x3 blocks ) that has undergone several remakes over the time, but MX 12 wont fit on the wings Added a Armored cockpit, not my favorite choice though. Do Not Engage Poi's with Rocket Defence, You Will Die ! Testing out my random config file for my scenario: Most planets are grouped into hubs to ease navigation. CTRL-clicking a planet will show you only the warp connections of that planet. You can also lock a planet from the map screen or use the pathfinding feature to plot a course to a specific planet, to aid in navigating such a large solar system. Trying to do my best to ease the quirkiness of the random generator when making such large solar systems: The sky is full of planets: Every point of light in this screenshot is a planet or a moon: Zoomed in: An ominous planet lurks on the horizon: Trying to set it up as a balance between randomness, consistency, and variety. The end goal is that you'll always get a solar system full of a variety of different planets and moons while not being predictable or repetitive: This configuration and seed produced 252 playfields, 70 planets, and 89 moons and took about 5 minutes on my PC for the first load. (Resuming the save game goes much quicker.) My goal is to make about 100 planet and 100 moon templates, a variety of space playfields, and have the solar system generate about 80-100 total planets. To aid in traveling the solar system, more sources of Pentaxid will be available. Sorry for the long post and spam! Last one for awhile I promise.
It looks nice but you will want to swap out the cockpit for a "modern" one. The cockpit you are using is now a legacy cockpit that cannot be upgraded to an armored one. I had to do that to all my old builds that used that cockpit, and I was not completely happy because I prefer the looks of the old one.
Did the Creator of the new Barren Planet also plan the POI's there? POI - Tradestation - Polaris I mean.
Ya, I saw that one for the first time this past week myself. Been rebuilding one in Creative to be a functional CV. Really hoping the infinite engines on that thing carry over magically, that way I can strap 8 of those ships together and maybe have enough thrust to get a stack of Cotton Candy from the moon. ;]
Work on the space elevator continues. It is already so big that it can be seen from orbit. Here I put him once on a self-created class 5 planet (also still in progress)

The first half of the day I worked on finishing the Landing Area. Took quite some Flying back and forth from the Main Base to the Building Site with up to 500 Block of Concrete in each haul. Twice I was running out of crushed Stone so I used that "pause" to drill out some Deposits around my Base. After texturing the surface I could finally Spawn the Engineering Section of the Augustus....which now lays their like a stranded whale!
I was increasing the width of a pad in front of our base this morning and buried a constructor by accident to discover that the height of a portable constructor is slightly greater than a block and they bury nicely. As many have mentioned these constructors require no power and have large input containers so you can build a bank of them into a few blocks in the basement of your base to kick off parallel builds or squirrel stuff away with the limitation being that you need to do your own intermediate logistics with sneakernet.
This morning I took a little trip for sathium. Hit a rich node, so I was actually processing sathium into ingots with my SV so I could grab everything I had mined. To prevent the timer from running out on the ore that wouldn't fit initially, I am glad I had brought along a portable constructor. In the end, processing the ore allowed me to save enough space to pick up everything I had stashed in the portable constructor plus pick up the constructor too. I had been building parts and putting them in the BP factory, so I didn't have to wait for my new home to finish. When I stepped in, I realized that not only had I skipped out on texture and paint work, but some of my traditional device group and power management was missing. Oh, well, I was a bit impatient to try out my new mobile home. Powered up and all the goods transferred from the temporary facility. I was excited to give my new home a test drive. Flying around in creative just doesn't feel the same. There is something about taking your creations out for a spin where things are trying to kill you.
While Production of HS Blocks is in full swing I thought I would create small (320k) outlying Storage's for the Blocks and Stuff needed for the future. I created a small, Level 7 Building, just with Power supply for the CC inside together with a WiFi. Takes about 10min without any Material pre-fabricated.
