I'm ~99% finished with the exterior of the CV I'm working on. I'm still really liking how it's turning out. Here's the view from the bridge: The aft engineering space is a tangle of piping and catwalks While the forward engineering space is much more open still (I still need to add the catwalks, so that might change as I work on the interior) I need to lay down the interior decking and decorate/texture/paint the interior still.
I think I'm done with my Abandoned Tomb POI. Testing it out, it's actually really hard in light armor on medium difficulty and level 1. Full of secrets, puzzles, and nasty enemies. Gives about 300,000-400,000 credits worth of assorted loot and gold coins. Definitely a challenging POI and thanks to the admin core, you can't "cheese" it. But wow it's fun, even though I knew where all the spawners were, I was still on the edge of my seat as I did a test run through it!
A natural formation of glowing crystals, powered by Pentaxid deposits right below the surface: Night view: There are about a dozen small Pentaxid deposits near this and Overseers are attracted to the crystals. Great source of Pentaxid from mining the deposits or harvesting the surface Pentaxid crystals. There is only one crystal formation like this on the planet (but random crystals are scattered over the planet), so the amount of Pentaxid deposits scaled with planet size, meaning it's harder to find on larger planets but you also get more reward.
Long, long ago, on a planet far, far away, I brought down an intact Ghost Patrol Ship. I was able to add a core to it, and make a blueprint of it, but had never been able to construct one normally, until last night. After rebuilding it, block by block, I finally have a Factory-ready model. Of course, being these were never meant to be anything but a menice on a planet it was lacking a number of rather vital items, most of which have been added. It is now air-tight, ventilated and space-worthy. It will take a bit of remodeling to fit a warp drive to it, but I’ve a good idea or two as to how I’ll make that happen. Stay tuned!
Today, I took the day off work to fulfill some of my privileges as a father this afternoon. So while I waiting for morning to progress by, I spent a little time in my SP game. First I spent some time repairing my relations with the Talons by hanging out in Zirax territory. Made a few kills. Got a couple heavy weapon upgrade kits. And I am over half way to restoring neutral relations with the Talon. If I am going to finish the PDA mission to talk to the chief after protecting their gardens, I need to be on neutral terms again. Stupid Talon got all in a fit because I destroyed a thing or two while killing the spiders they asked me to get rid of. While I was out there in my HV, I found a promethium deposit. But by the time I got back to my CV, I was nearly out of bullets, should have packed some more extras with me in the main hold of my HV in addition to the ammo boxes. Maybe I would be on speaking terms with the Talon if I had more ammo with me. Anyways, while I was away the CV had finished crafting all the parts for my replacement SV. So I through them into the BP factory and experienced something peculiar when spawning the finished BP. Had to exit the game and resume to get things back to normal. My last action before quitting for now was to fly the CV over to the promethium. I find mining with a HV a lot more fun than by hand, and the HV I was hunting Zirax with was not built for mining at all.
I finished a broken cable bridge today. I had something like this for long time in my mind. If i spawn few of them it is looking better, the size limiting the distance in one print. I have the intact version also on the workshop if somebody want to use the print. Probably good for racing or building an exotic base on the driveway. I was using xenosteel for some of the parts so that could be a loot on servers/scenario. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1697732891
You are the worst Liar I have ever seen! NOBODY has SUCH a bridge "in mind"! Dear Lord...Those Pillars are outstanding...can't imagine how much time runs into decorating them this way...
Imagine a...lets say...class 5 Planet, maxed out number of POI's, almost the whole planet covered by Buildings, devastated by centuries of Warfare or orbital bombardment, the orbit littered with Ship wrecks of the attacker and defender forces. Recovering thousands of TECH-Parts from the Planet and fighting off other looter is the main task of this Planet. Almost no resources left. Rebuilding some stuff possible. Weather with all kind of radioactive storms, Acid Rain Dust Storms and so on. The whole planet burnt. No Vegetation, no Food plants, only what you are bringing with you... Man I would really like to learn how to make such things...
I plan on adding something like that as a variation of the irradiated planet. A planet devastated by nuclear war, with a few automated anti-vehicle defenses active (so you'll have to approach some locations on foot or risk getting your sv/hv/cv get shot out of the sky by powerful but old automated rocket and artillery turrets).
That may be a good way for a staggered approach....the "easiest" version of the Planet would be mine. No live no energy left no food plants, nothing but dust and crumbled ruins, just Tech-parts, as container pallets and such every where.. The harder mode even with left over automated defenses...maybe certain zones only...as Energy is not available anymore on the Planet and must be brought in from outer space
You caught me, I built the pillar for different purpose first, then I changed my mind to use it for the bridge. It took about 5 hours and actually the easiest part, the top took much longer. Altogether I spent 4 days on it I think.
