@ravien_ff: Congratulations on your "Odd Temperate" starter planet! This will be the one where i restart my playthrough, to finally finish the Anvil. The first sight while falling from the skies was such a nice change from the standard temperate one. Simply, WOW! Thick forrests with blueish alien plants here and there. So far i encountered a few lifeforms of the not so friendly kind. But nothing my brave assault rifle couldn't handle... While searching in a near radius around my crashsite for the perfect spot to place the production base "Dawn" i encountered the first Talon settlement and then behind it on the shore of a lovely red lake, i don't think i like to swim there , was the right spot. Secured between two mountains and the lake I will finish the base and the Anvil. I wonder what kind of dangers awaits me here. The nights are bathed in green alien lightning everywhere and the sounds from the jungle, outside the base, let you look behind you constantly. And then the dawn, when the sun raises above the horizont, yellow and reds everywhere in the sky. Maybe not to everyons liking but i love it. The base itself is in this stage mostly a hollow shell. Production in the left and right wings are functional together with 16 maxed CCs in it. That should be enough storage for the beginning... Other than that only a medic station, armor locker and a not needed O2 station are prebuild. Has the SI been improved since A8 or A9? I wasn't sure if the base entry would stay or collapse while placing. But to my liking it stands! Now i will need to grab a few stones to build the bike and get the first recources drilled. Wish me luck that there arent any base attacks till i manage to build ammunition and the first turrets... edit: a first statistic screen of the Dawn pps: Swamp Golems on a starter.... Nice

Yesterday i saw another spacestation from @Ann|e Noa|m that could have been it... ----- In the early lvls a simple thing as circle a lake could give such a trill. and 1.2 km will become the longest march ever. Especially if you encounter swamp golems, dinosaurs, this water thingis and creepy's. Finally in safety and lvl 6 now

Aha! Also I find it extremely interesting to look at things from a different perspective like that. Sometimes you can come up with some really cool stuff that way. Something that's labeled a space station might make a good ship or a ship that might make an interesting base or some little piece of detailing that could be turned into something else if it was scaled up or turned on it side. There were some images I found awhile back of a guy who takes inspiration from common household items turning their shapes into sci-fi spaceships.

First time here sharing the crap I make. Still new at building as this is my 4th SV that i didn't scrap half way through. Never turns out the way I want it. Anyways it is my new Hauler with plenty of options to add or take way thrusters for more hauling. Shield generator and Warp core for long bumpy trips.
