    Hey, vielen dank. Ich füge sie hinzu. Wobei sie eigentlich in der Config.cfg drin sein sollten.
    Nutzt du Master-Slave, oder führst du das Tool direkt auf dem Server aus?

    EAH version: 1.47.0.1

    Reproducibility: Always

    Severity: Minor/Major

    Description:
    With A10 Experimental I started a new server. When I originally set it up I made sure to set "Enemy Spawn Rate" to "High" and "Drone Base Attack" to "Hard". We've been running a while now, but I was just looking through settings again and I noticed that the "Enemy Spawn Rate" is showing "Normal" in EAH now and the "Drone Base Attack" is blank.

    When I switch spawn rate to "High" and restart EAH, it reverts back to "Normal". When I switch base attack to "Hard" and restart EAH, it reverts back to blank.

    When I look at the gameoptions.yaml I see:
    DiffAttackStrength: Hard
    DiffDronePresence: High
    DiffDroneBaseAttack: High

    In EAH there are 4 items you can change.
    1. Attack Strength (Off, Easy, Medium, Hard)
    2. Enemy spawnrate (Off, Low, Normal, High)
    3. Drone presence (Off, Low, Normal, High)
    4. Drone baseattack (Off, Easy, Medium, Hard)

    In my gameoptions.yaml:
    DiffAttackStrength: Hard (seems to match my EAH setting for "Attack strength")

    DiffDronePresence: High (seems to match my EAH setting for "Drone presence")

    DiffDroneBaseAttack: High (doesn't seem to match any of the settings in EAH. You'd think it would correlate with #4 Drone baseattack, but the options for that in EAH are Off, Easy, Medium, Hard. There's no "High" in the dropdown.)

    And my .yaml only has 3 of the 4 items it seems. I would assume there should be a DiffEnemySpawnRate: High? So something seems off with EAH and the .yaml. The values in the dropdowns possibly don't match the values they're placing in the yaml, and one of the dropdowns doesn't seem to be changing the yaml at all.

    I'm assuming in the end what is in the gameoptions.yaml is what's important. So for my current server, if I want the Enemy Spawn Rate to be high, do I need to add DiffEnemySpawnRate: High to the yaml since EAH isn't doing it? And if I want the Drone Base Attack to be Hard do I need to change DiffDroneBaseAttack from "High" to "Hard" like is shown in EAH or is "High" the correct setting?

    The gameoptions.yaml gets updated on server stop and start.

    If you change the settings in EAH then restart the server it wont work since the game will put its old values back and overwrite yours.

    Always stop server first > Then change > then start Server

    The game removes some options from the gameoptions.yaml and load them in its database. Nothing to worry about

    This is a A10 change, that is correct actually.
    The other old options are not valid anymore

    If I open EAH I would expect the config screens to show what my server is currently configured as. If it doesn't, that seems like an issue. I mean, what's the point of a configuration tool if it doesn't A) configure the server and B) Accurately reflect what it's currently configured as.

    So just in case I'm not quite catching what you're saying here's a test I'm going to do. Let me know if my expectations and/or assumptions are incorrect, or if maybe they're not implemented yet.

    Assumptions:
    1. EAH reads and modifies various files, including gameoptions.yaml.
    2. Starting a server with EAH, the server uses all the options that EAH has set in the tool.
    3. The game removes some options from gameoptions.yaml and loads them into its database. (As per Taelyn's comment. Does EAH see this and report on it? Can EAH affect that option anymore after it's been removed from gameoptions.yaml?)

    Expected behaviors:
    1. If a server has been run at some point but is not currently running, opening EAH and looking at all the options, they should reflect what the server is currently configured as.
    2. If server is NOT currently running, making a change in EAH, shutting down EAH, restarting EAH, the configuration options should reflect what I just changed them to before closing the tool.
    3. If a server is started using EAH, the server should be using the options as displayed in EAH.
    4. After stopping a server and closing EAH, re-opening EAH we should see all the options that we had previously set, and re-starting the server from EAH should still be using those same options.
    5. If no files have been modified by the user outside of the EAH tool, no EAH option should suddenly have different values than what was previously set.

    Experiment:
    1. Using previously run server, with server currently off, and EAH closed. Difficulty settings in gameoptions.yaml:
    DiffAttackStrength: Hard
    DiffDronePresence: High
    DiffDroneBaseAttack: High

    2. With server off, open EAH.

    Expectation: Attack strength = Hard, Drone presence = High, Drone base attack = High

    Actual Result: Attack strength = Hard, Enemy spawnrate = Normal (option isn't in yaml), Drone presence = High, Drone base attack = BLANK

    Observations: yaml is missing the enemy spawnrate difficulty setting, EAH shows nothing selected for Drone baseattack when it should match the yaml and say "High".

    3. In EAH, change Attack strength to "Medium", change Enemy spawnrate to "High", change Drone presence to "Normal", change Drone baseattack to "Medium". Close EAH.

    Expectation: In gameoptions.yaml:
    DiffAttackStrength: Medium
    DiffDronePresence: Normal
    DiffDroneBaseAttack: Medium
    ???DiffEnemySpawnRate???: High

    Actual Result:
    DiffDroneBaseAttack: High

    Observations: DiffAttackStrength and DiffDronePresence are missing. Thought maybe I'd see a DiffEnemySpawnRate setting which seems logical considering the placement in EAH, wording, etc, but it's not there. DiffDroneBaseAttack still shows "High" even though I changed it from BLANK to "Medium" in EAH.

    4. Re-open EAH.

    Expectation: Options that I set in step 3 should still be there in EAH. So I should see Attack strength = "Medium", Enemy spawnrate = "High", Drone presence = "Normal", Drone baseattack = "Medium".

    Actual Result: Attack strength = "Medium", Enemy spawnrate = "Normal", Drone presence = "Normal", Drone baseattack = BLANK

    Observations: Attack strength and Drone Presence both now show as "Normal" as expected. Enemy spawnrate did NOT change to "High" like I set it. Drone baseattack did NOT change to "Medium" like I set it. Checking the gameoptions.yaml I see that it wasn't modified when I re-opened EAH. So EAH must be tracking Attack strength and Drone presence settings elsewhere.

    5. Start server from EAH, check the EAH settings and gameoptions.yaml once it's running.

    Expectation: I would expect that the EAH options would remain the same as they were before I started the server. So I should see Attack strength = "Medium", Enemy spawnrate = "Normal" (even though I set this to High previously), Drone presence = "Normal", Drone baseattack = BLANK (even though I set this to Medium previously).

    Actual Result: Same as expectation. Also, looks like the gameoptions.yaml was updated when I started the server. DiffDroneBaseAttack = "High" even though in EAH I previously set it to Medium, and it currently shows as BLANK in EAH (by BLANK I mean no value is showing, it's just blank). And as a sidenote, it appears that while the server is running the gameoptions.yaml is getting updated every so often.

    6. Without making any changes, shut server down but leave EAH open. Check EAH options and yaml for any changes.

    Expectation: Shouldn't be any changes. What I have set in EAH should be set in stone at this point. I set it to things, it should show those values whether the server is running, not running, or recently started/restarted.

    Actual Result: Same as expected. Shutting server down without making any changes didn't do anything. Seems a no-brainer, but it's good to test strange things sometimes. ;)

    7. Start server in EAH. Make changes in EAH while server is running. Close game option window, but don't close EAH. EAH gives a prompt to restart the tool, but we want to see if there's any behavior with the yaml file. Change Attack strength to "Easy", change Enemy spawnrate to "Low", change Drone presence to "Low", change Drone baseattack to "Easy".

    Expectation: I'm not sure. Ideally I would want those changes to be immediately in effect. But I don't know what options are real-time or not. In any other software environment I would expect that changes I make in a tool would directly affect things. I would expect that the yaml would be modified the moment I click OK, but I'm starting to doubt the yaml has much to do with EAH at this point.

    Actual Result: Yaml seemed to immediately update after I click OK twice to ignore the tool reset prompts.
    DiffAttackStrength: Easy
    DiffDronePresence: Low
    DiffDroneBaseAttack: High

    After about a minute the yaml updated itself, removing the DiffAttackStrength and DiffDronePresence lines. Re-opening the Game difficulty page in EAH, without closing and re-opening the whole tool, the settings went back to what they were before I changed them (Medium, Normal, Normal) except for Drone baseattack which is again blank.

    Observations: Only Attack strength and Drone presence settings seem to be changed in the yaml. DiffDroneBaseAttack appears to shift which row it's in, but it always stays at "High" in the yaml, and empty in EAH, no matter what I set it to in EAH.

    8. With server running, make changes in EAH, shut the EAH tool down as the prompt says to, re-open EAH. Change Attack strength to "Hard", change Enemy spawnrate to "High", change Drone presence to "High", change Drone baseattack to "Hard".

    Expectations: Making changes in EAH and restarting EAH I would expect the changes to stick, no matter if the server was running or not. I would expect to see the changes reflected in the yaml, but we've observed now that the server seems to remove lines from the yaml while it's running. I would expect that looking at the difficulty options in EAH would show the settings I changed.

    Actual result: Almost immediately after clicking OK and closing EAH the yaml updated to:
    DiffAttackStrength: Hard
    DiffDronePresence: High
    DiffDroneBaseAttack: High

    Then a minute later or so DiffAttackStrength and DiffDronePresence were removed from the yaml by the server, leaving DiffDroneBaseAttack: High.

    In EAH the difficulties went back to what they were prior to my changes. Instead of being (Hard, High, High, Hard) they are now (Medium, Normal, Normal, blank). Closing and restarting EAH another time just to check didn't change anything.

    9. With server running, make changes in EAH, then before closing EAH stop the server.

    Expectations: Again, I would expect the tool would make changes and that those changes would stick no matter if the server was running or not.

    Actual result: After re-opening the tool, neither the tool nor the yaml show the changes made.

    10. In EAH, start server, let run until it updates the yaml, stop the server, make the changes in EAH, close and re-open EAH. Change to (Hard, High, High, Hard).

    Expectations: After re-opening EAH it should show the changes we made. Normally I'd expect the yaml to show the changes too, but that thing seems shady to me right about now.

    Actual result: yaml shows the attack strength and drone presense as Hard and High as expected, along with the drone base attack as "High" like usual. In EAH we have (Hard, Normal, High, blank).

    Observations: Enemy spawn rate again didn't show up in yaml, and again reset to "Normal" in EAH instead of what we chose.

    Final Observations:
    1. Enemy spawn rate never shows up in the yaml.
    2. Enemy spawn rate never changes from "Normal" no matter what I set in EAH.
    3. DiffDroneBaseAttack: High always shows in the yaml, no matter what I set it to in EAH.
    4. DiffDroneBaseAttack: High doesn't get removed from the yaml by the server, unlike Attack Strength and Drone Presence.
    5. Given by these tests and observations I suspect that Enemy Spawn Chance and Drone Base Attack are permanently set at some point and can't be changed.
    6. I'd be willing to bet a big juicy cheeseburger that when I started the server I chose Enemy Spawn Rate of "High", not "Normal". One of my biggest goals with this server was to have increased difficulty. So why it says "Normal" now I don't know.
    7. The Drone baseattack dropdown uses values (off, Easy, Medium, Hard), but in the yaml it shows as "High" instead of "Hard". That could mean a couple things. Either the yaml should say "Hard" but mistakenly says "High", or the dropdown values should be (Off, Low, Normal, High). As a programmer/developer this just screams to me of causing problems at some point in the future. Mismatched values and naming conventions.
    8. Maybe that's why the drone baseattack dropdown keeps reverting to a blank value in EAH. "High" <> "Hard".
    9. If Enemy Spawn Rate and Drone Base Attack options are fixed once a server is created, the dropdowns should be disabled in EAH once a server has been created. If either or both of those are supposed to be able to be adjusted after server creation, something is wrong with EAH currently since Enemy Spawn Rate always reverts to Normal and Drone Base Attack always reverts to blank.

    Hey,

    Thanks for the detailed report.
    Let me make it a bit shorter:

    1) The Game saves the yamls again after it turns off. If a value is default value, then it is removed from the yaml since its not necessary. So if you change the yaml while the server is running the settings will be reseted.
    2) EAH does not need to be restarted. Just the config window needs to be reopened. If you suspect an error with EAH, you can try to just edit the yaml. If you still see errors then its a game issue, not EAH.
    3) DiffEnemySpawnRate is not used anymore in A10. I forgot to remove it in the Full, will remove it from the config with next update. Thanks
    4) DiffDroneBaseAttack changed and supports multiple options:
    Easy = 0,
    Low = 0,

    Medium = 1
    Normal = 1

    Hard = 2
    High = 2

    Off = 3

    This causes EAH to show twice Normal or Low (but you can ignore that). But if its Normal or Medium as well if it is Hard or High, does not matter. Those values always mean the same and the game as well as EAH don't care.
    4) I checked the settings and how it handled it after server restart and all looks fine.
    5) How the setting is applied ingame and if it works or not is a Empyrion thing. Please report that in another forum area.
    6) In one Version there is a problem that you can't open the config anymore. But I guess you don't have that one or in your case its opening the window but leaving the option blank. This will be also fixed with the next Version.

    Thanks again

    Hey Remmey,

    sorry to hear about your problems. Yes, sadly many mods could cause such problems due to a spam of events and the ModInterface not being able to figure out who wanted the answer to that request. There are a few ways to check this issue. I'll write you in discord more.
