In one month the empyrion shields update will be out, and then I will definitely find myself playing this game again. Not sure if I join a server though, I basically only like to play pve, want to trade with other players, look at their bases and do some pve missions together. Does someone know a server where this is possible - without being online 5 hours each day that then yield 30 minutes of maybe trading or basetouring in total? edit: I used the wrong words: - Trading with other players without the usage of global UIs and only by driving to them (no matter if in person or by using a terminal/container at their base); - and being able to visit other bases and look around inside them is the second very important aspect to me. PVE and coop PVE is standard on every server and is not enough, if the other two aspect of trading and visiting bases are not present. Basically a universe global trade UI kills the immersion for me, just a central hub where I have to use a terminal would also be nice. No, not ten central hubs, one or two at most.
There are a few PvE servers out there, which I'm sure will encourage what you want to do. I'll be starting my PvE server back up upon Alpha 10 release as well. Good luck!
Thus far, I'm fairly happy with the "Eden" scenario, and I highly suggest folks look at this magnificent body of work, to use as their PvE server base build. It's utterly fantastic.
Ive been looking for a pve multiplayer server for a while ,ideally with those from the forum. Hopefully some good ones will spring up after A10 is released.
pretty much as above. some trade, some pve, some co-op missions. single player has its charm but multiplayer is far more fun usually.
Sorry for late reply. So yeah that's kind of been the goal with my server for awhile. A full PVE server trying to encourage trade, the development of an economy, as well as coop raiding POI's. I'll put up a post once I get the server up for Alpha10, but the name will be Omicron Darkness. Just fair warning, me and my fellow admins make a lot of effort to make the server challenging with modified POI's harder planets, higher or lower temperatures requiring use of SV/HV on lava and ice planets, that kind of thing.

I think that's how the default trade system works (trade consoles only show trades in the same station I think). So basically a coop/pve server with no additional trading mods?
Yeah that's one of the first things I do when creating a server, and I totally agree. Having a 'trade station' on virtually every orbit or planet really kills immersion. How are those goods being transported? Magic teleportation? Nobody needs to even leave their home system to trade whatever they want! I typically set up one trade station in a centralized planet's system, never a starter planet! And then maybe a planetside trade outpost with a teleporter to the orbit station on the same planet/orbit.
